Really? I did not no that Seattle did not play either. I guess an even number of teams can only sit out huh. Well I wonder who the galaxy are going to play against rsl then. I guess it all depends on how tomorrow goes. Good luck guys.

Been thinking about this and heres my Lineup for Tommorrow-
(this won't be it as Eckersley always ends up as a outside midfielder in our 3-4-3, but after playing CB well for us last season.. I don't understand why he wouldn't fit well in the back 3, which means we can leave out defenders like Harden who are weak and use more midfielders, which is our teams strength.

It could be LA's participation in the next CCL for next year - that adds games to our schedule for the end of the year, meaning we might need to play this weekend.

Course, the Canadian teams I believe still need to go through their tournament to see who goes to CCL '12-'13? (Not sure.)

Don't know if you guys saw, but Brian Straus has posted that LD is going to play tomorrow through the words of Mike Magee. I hope that means he starts, but odds are you guys will see him.

Our line-up looks pretty set minus the LCB position:

midfielders like frings, who you waste as a centreback.... your desired midfield, even four wide, would get torched.

never doubted LD to be honest. and yeah, the canadian championship for the 12-13 CCL slot is still to be decided, starting in about a month i think.

I agree with what cloak said. I think Frings is better utilised as a mid but I understand why you would want him out there. Maybe with a narrower field you could try a 5-3-2 (let me finish), but it would look something like this:

why waste Eck as a CB when he's most effective as fullback/wingback?

Agreed. With Dunfield in a highly important role as the destributer, the forwards will never see the ball. He has a tendency to kill the buildup and in turn the attack by aimlessly booting the ball as far as he can the second it touches his foot. That puts extra pressure on the defense because instead of us attacking we'll be faced with wave after wave of LA attacks because of his turnovers

because his best qualities are defensive ones. Yes he's good at getting forward as a defender, but that doesn't make him a midfielder

Johnson works really well as a Central Striker, I'm expecting him to sub in for Koevermans sometime tonight, especially with Danny's hamstring difficulties in Florida.

Winter seems to trust Dunfield as De Guzman's understudy, giving us a CDM. Stinson plays more of an attacking game, even defensively speaking Stinson plays a pressing defense that consists of trying to take the ball off of single players. Dunfield is better at offloading back to the defence and playing out of pressure.

It's going to be Frei. Of that I am 100% convinced. I'll be completely shocked if it winds up being Kocic.
