    • Toronto FC will begin their maiden voyage in the CONCACAF Champions League knockout stage when they return home to Rogers Centre to take on the Los Angeles Galaxy from the United States in the first leg of a CONCACAF Champions League quarterfinal matchup on Wednesday, March 7, 2012 at 8:00 pm EDT.

    Plus, and we're getting way ahead of ourselves here, the winner could end up in a semi against Seattle. We could actually go to the final without meeting any Mexicans! Overall a decent draw for us (and the other MLS teams for that matter).

    Even though it's not a Mexican club, L.A is still a formidable foe. It'll take everything we got to get through to the Semis.

    I'm a bit disappointed, nothing against Galaxy, but part of the point of CCL is to see us play clubs that we don't normally get to play.

    That said, in terms of chances of getting through this was probably the best draw for us.

    Hey they could be the defending MLS champs when all is said and done! Looking forward to a great game. In a way I hope Beckham comes back so we can sell a few more tickets but the same time, anything to win :D

    One of the biggest advantages to playing LA is that the away game won't be at high altitude like when we played UNAM. Also their midfield will take quite a hit when Beckham leaves

    If he leaves ... he looked quite formidable on Sunday night, and was instrumental in Galaxy winning. I wouldn't count out him re-signing.

    It's pretty much generally accepted that he will high-tail it out of here once this season is done. Especially if L.A. wins the cup; there would be nothing left here to play for.

    There's always the CONCACAF Champions League ... could be his by April. And the FIFA Club World Cup ... though I guess he won it's predecessor with Manchester.

    I think he'll be gone. But I wouldn't be surprised if he sticks around at Galaxy - at least until the end of the 2011-2012 season.

    Hey guys - I come in peace (though I did vote in the poll - sorry about that, shouldn't have done it! I said LA would win by one.).

    Anyhoo, we in LA think this is going to be a great game. In all honesty, Toronto at the end of the season was starting to look good (think you guys are going to be contenders in 2012). This will be no pushover game - as you guys exhibited against FCD to get here.

    Galaxy doesn't typically send a contingent here because of the distance, do you think that some may make the trip since this match is bigger than a regular league match?

    Generally speaking, I agree with you .... at least in the group stage. That said, I'd rather face an early in season Galaxy than a mid-season Mexican side.
