I am there. I wouldn't miss this for the world. The Tampa Derby in Plant City! (sounds odd, but I'll take it)

Interesting that VSI Plant City didn't submit an application to host the third round. If we can get a result on Tuesday then we will be rewarded with a visit from the Seattle Sounders.

Nice stadium. One major complaint: they don't sell beer there, yet they had a big banner inviting you to enjoy a Tecate. What a mind-"fudge" that was!

Nice job Hristov on that breakaway. He froze the goalie just enough to buy an extra step, and took a nice shot... all while shielding the defender at his shoulder away from the ball.

 

Have to completely agree there. Josh Rife (defense) was in good position and I thought for sure he was gonna be able to dive in and stop the shot. Hristov is a baller.

And Tecate is a brand new sponsor for last night. I agree that needs to get resolved haha

 

Nice stadium? Do you mean aside from the lakes that were forming in the concourse and the bathrooms?

I particularly enjoyed being told by security that there would be no "your momma" jokes. And then realizing they were serious.

 

Loved that they sold corn on the cob on sticks there. Also, there was about 215-230 people there. Embarrassing. What is there to do in Plant City on a weds?

 

Not much. That is why we don't live there.

 

I see things have been modernized in Plant City since I was last there in probably 1983.

 

The corn was actually pretty awesome.

 

Now I am regretting more than ever not having the corn. it smelled delicious. maybe take in another VSI game??
