laaaame good game tampa, should ahve at least salvaged a point, i didnt see the penalty or how the thunder played without a lead, but even if they were playing defensively, we still had plenty of chances. cant wait for that first home game, we have some real talent on the team. also hats off to the thunder's defense, they cleared the ball numerous times with last ditch efforts that i thought were going to be certain goal scoring situations.
Siiiigh. TB very impressive on the possession, but where was the finishing? The Minn keeper made two good saves in the second half, but we should have salvaged a point.
sigh, dominate game but lose to basically the one good scoring chance Minnesota created, a penalty. Tough loss to swallow, but we'll bounce back next week in Miami and then its onward to the home opener!
Same as some of the preseason matches. Good possession, bad finishing, and defensive lapses. No excuse to get yourself red-carded for striking another player in the penalty area. Not sure us Fannies are ones to complain about pitch conditions. At least NSC dont have a baseball infield to play on. Were you watching in the stadium or watching the video stream? You tube anouncer guy said punch.... nasl.com says say he threw an elbow: http://nasl.com/article/nsc-minnesota-wins-home-opener Whatever happened... Klestjan lost his composure in THE part of the pitch he needs to keep things in check the most. Violent Conduct is really a silly way to get send off. Just see what happend to Josey Altidore in his last game.
Those highlights jumped back in forth in time like I was watching Pulp Fiction or something. I wish they would have showed the red card. Hopefully the whole game will be up soon. Thanks for posting it though.
Couple of observations here... it looked cold, and it's going to be hot at home all summer. Hot like most of these players have never seen. Couldn't tell much about the crowd, but it did reveal they allow drums and flags at their (looked like a high school) stadium.
It was chilly there, for sure. Crowd was something like 2300 or so and yes, they seemed to be allowed flag poles and drums. I really hope someone in the FO is keeping a little pressure on them to allow us flag poles. And we only really want one or two good deep drums to enhance the rhythm of the songs and chants. It isn't like we are asking for the world.
will there be a version posted online that isn't so jumpy on the video feed. Made it very difficult to watch. Between that and the results, hard not to get sick....
Anyone else annoyed that Minnesota has not posted the game in the archive section of their website? Maybe the video showed that there was no contact from Kljestan on his red card. Andres Arango could be disciplined if that was the case. That's my conspiracy theory at least.
Rowdies’ Gordon Kljestan elbowed Andres Arango in the face as the two had both gone for a chipped ball in the Rowdies box. http://www.insidemnsoccer.com/2010/04/25/nsc-stars-topple-fc-tampa-in-inaugural-home-opener/
Yup, lame call in a game that we could of gotten at least a point from. Oh well. Please don't lose to Miami.
