We need to win this one. Nothing else matters.

If we win and PR lose we are in 2nd place.

That'd be optimal, but at this point if we keep winning we at least solidify a playoff spot and stay in the hunt or a top seed and a first round bye.

Rowdie's Front Office is saying that there are less than 100 Reserved Seat & less than 500 General Admission Tickets left for Tomorrow's match! I really hope this is the case, 'cause for once I want to see Al Lang Stadium packed for a Rowdies match....but I'm not holding my breath. :cautious:

That's what I call "product." If that "product" doesn't sell the ROWDIES, nothing sells the ROWDIES. great crowd, outstanding MOB (and tailgate atmosphere) and what an entertaining game! Four goals that counted and three belonged to the ROWDIES! great Win, boys!

Great match. The Rowdies are playing better each game. The offense looks more dangerous and are finishing their chances unlike earlier in the season when tons of possession yielded little in the way of goals. Still would prefer to see Antoniuk get more minutes, but I feel like I am nitpicking now. Defense looked pretty solid tonight, too.

One head scratcher is the attendance...only 4700? How do they announce yesterday that they had 600 tickets left to sell in the stands and then not break 6,000? Thought capacity was 7,000. So, the other 2,000 seats are on the berm? Something doesn't quite add up. Regardless, that was the best crowd to date at Al Lang and probably the best gate since Independence Day 2010. My hat is off to the club for tonight's atmosphere and crowd. Now if they can just do this on a regular basis.

We just found out tonight that Al Lang Stadium actually seats about 5,300 people. We found this out from someone who works for the Rowdies' Front Office. This totally explains why the official attendance never seemed to match up with what we saw at the Stadium during our home matches! No one seems to know where the 7,000 seat capacity claim came about.

That is strange. Checking St. Pete's official website it doesn't post a capacity for Al Lang (it also has a page long description of the activities held there and doesn't mention the Rowdies, go figure). The only place I could find a capacity was on a couple stadium sites and of course good old Wikipedia. I want to say I remember the Rowdies even quoting the 7,200 figure when they announced their move there. I don't have time to research that right now.

St. Pete Times, January 19, 2011:

Views of the field will be closer than at Steinbrenner, where the playing field was mostly in the outfield, and one goal will be situated in front of the third-base dugout. Al Lang will seat about 7,000, including 1,100 reserved seats. And there will be berm seating along the rightfield line where the baseball field's existing bullpens are. Nadel said eventually having an artificial turf field will be discussed.

well if attendance was 4700 last night, then I have to side with the latest claim of capacity being in the mid 5k range vs 7k. Otherwise, I have no idea where they would have fit another 2.5k people. The place was nearly full.

From what I can tell, and this was talked about when the team moved to Al Lang, you CAN get 7k in that stadium but you'd have to squish them in to the point of being very uncomfortable. Even then it might be a stretch because I'm pretty sure that number takes into account having both berms (one of which is gone now) and stuffing alot of people on those berms.

If that's the case, then they are REALLY overestimating attendance. And I thought capacity was 7,700. They must not be counting all the available seats, because I don't buy 5,300 as the capacity.

Nevermind, just saw the attendance thread. Ugh...
