A home win would be sweet. Let's keep building on the momentum, stay at the top of the table. Atlanta got a nice win vs the Strikers on Saturday, but the goals came late in a game that was reportedly somewhat flat. The Strikers have been bad on the road for years now, so hopefully the Rowdies don't have anything unknown to worry about with the Silverbacks.
I am stoked as well for this game. I think 3 points are attainable at home. I think we can do it. Any word on ASFC fans coming down for the game? COYR
They don't always. They have brought a decent group once. One other time there were a half dozen of them and that was due to the USA game in Tampa the same week. We'll see if any of the tough guy thieves show up.
Ya, they stole a banner off of us the last time we traveled up to Atlanta. Apparently we aren't real supporters unless we engage in a thievery war.
Here's how low they go. One of their "loltras" traveled down to Al Lang and stole a 2nd banner from us, in our own house, ON OUR CHAMPIONSHIP GAME, of which the Silverbacks weren't even apart of. He traveled all the way down here to steal a couple dollars worth of cloth and paint. He ripped the duct tape off and took it while we were celebrating after the PKs. Now you know why we don't care to engage them in any way. I'll take going to the craphole known as FTL any day over their shenanigans
They also stole a scarf from a small group of FTL Strikers supporters that went up to ATL last Saturday. I don't condone violence whatsoever, but I do believe in Karma.....and Karma is a B!tch!
Oh boy ATL fan. What they did is was sophmoric, but also flags and banners can be re-done and have a rebirth. Let them have it. They didnt earn it. I want what is earned, and we earned it last season. Let's do it again for Last Place FC. COYR
Rowdies' first win of season and looking forward Posted by Chris Girandola on Fri, Apr 19, 2013 at 4:37 PM http://cltampa.com/dailyloaf/archives/2013/04/19/rowdies-first-win-of-season-and-looking-forward
What says u now? We're still singing over here....there's no singing over there.... Get over yourselves and comment on your dive in the 19th'ish second. Prosoccercdn gets a pass-appreciate the support of your team-yes, irreprehensible goal.
A rare home defeat. Damn. What a frustrating game. Props to Last Place FC for showing up, and their fans showing up using smoke bombs and not getting kicked out. Still f****ing crap we lost. We were up 3-1. Damn.
Getting this thread back on track....we are back to the Rowdies playing two different matches. The first half was pretty well brilliant, the second was a disaster. Lots of good attacking combinations. The finishing in the first half was first rate. All three goals could be goals of the week. Hopefully, they watch this again and see what happens when you strike the ball on target from distance. In the second half as they got increasingly desperate they kept trying to work the ball into the box with no success. The passing between the midfield and the forwards was good, but they couldn't quite finish it. Hristov and Walker are looking better as a duo, but they still need to catch fire. Del Dio as a sub does nothing for me. A waste. Atlanta came out strong in the second half, but the second and third goals were mostly due to goalkeeping errors. Fontein was lucky in game one and was exposed in this match as a keeper who still needs some work. If he is positioned correctly in those two situations, then the game ends 3-2 for the Rowdies. Over all, it was nice to see some scoring, which will hopefully continue, but a very dissapointing loss.
How in the hell do you give up a two goal lead to lose 4-3? http://www.rowdiessoccer.com/index.php?id=52&newsid=4387
You let your foot off the neck of the other team and then have your goalkeeper make two blunders. Oh, and Atlanta isn't a bad team.
They aren't bad, but they shouldn't be good enough to overcome a 3-1 deficit away to the defending champions. The Rowdies are to blame for this result and they've gotta get it sorted quickly.
