At least at his rate he'll miss a hopefully meaningless game in the group stage. Course it then becomes a suspension every 2 additional ones, right?

Basically he would ideally pick one up in the next Plzen game (3) as we play them twice in a row (3&4). Or pick one up in the Milan game (5) and miss the final BATE game (6).

Good game with lots of positives. Messi hat-trick, Puyol going 90, no goals conceded, subs getting playing time, no injuries. Alves might as well get a yellow next game so he doesn't miss the AC Milan game. We'll have to beat them straight up to guarntee top spot in the group. Last thing I want to do is play Man U, Chelsea, or Bayern in the round of 16. Btw, Bayern's on fire but it's not how well you're playing in September but rather how well you're playing in April/May.

Yeah, Messi did not get credited with the first goal and, unlike some players, he did not try to claim the goal was his when it was not. So he tied but did not surpass Kubala in 2nd place on the official goals tally.

I don't know if it has been mentioned before but Messi is now also the top Argentinian scorer of all time in European Cups.

With his 2nd goal he reached 40 and surpassed Crespo.

    Solid win.

Good to see Puyi get a full game under his belt since his recovery, that's vital for us. The front three all performing well is also good to see.

Hope to win the double header against Plzen now and then avoid defeat in Italy to win the group, most likely. I doubt BATE will come to Camp Nou and do anything since their season will be over by then.

    Welcome, BoZana...

I believe there's still a possibility we beat Pizen twice, BATE one more time, and draw with Milan -- and STILL finish 2nd because Milan scored 2 away goals in their Matchday 1 draw with us. This is looking too far ahead though.
