http://www.soccerbyives.net/2014/01/cherundolo-persistent-problems.html Potential bad news for Cherundolo. Hopefully this gets sorted out.
Not sure what I am more pessimistic about - The Crew this season or England in the World Cup. Bloody depressing. Still at least one of the idiot teams I support is looking like they might actually achieve something this season.
I can't figure out why Brad Evans is in the picture. He had a timely goal vs Jamaica but isn't a RB for his club team and has looked bad for the Nats vs better quality opposition.
Good thing we get to watch them stand in a circle and look at a guy with a clipboard instead of watch the US score. 1-0 USA. 4'
So how much is Precourts' cut of the SUM windfall for the pre world cup tour they are proposing? I know a percentage of SUM was sold to investors.
On Monday it will mark exactly 4 months until the USA vs GHANA match. 1) I am more excited about USA World Cup than i am about the crew. 2) I have convinced Dom Oduro he needs to watch it with me. He has talked shh... ever since. 3) I maybe have the phrase "Would you believe" stuck in my head...thanks Ian Darke
tweets regarding clint dempsey: Everyone saying Clint Dempsey wasn't in the 18 for Fulham today reminded me that Clint Dempsey is currently at Fulham He was lazy. Looked like he was on holiday. Only thing missing from his game was a deckchair. Clint Dempsey somehow uninvolved with both offense and defense today for Fulham. No edge, little desire. In form or not, this is vexing Ouch. In all honesty, if he doesn't light up the MLS before June, JK needs to consider dropping him from the starting XI
Who here thinks Klinsy ought to just shut his goddamn mouth about good players improving the quality of the league, and who here thinks he's spot on? I'm really ambivalent about it.
It's all designed to motivate his players. His comments haven't negatively affected the team, so it really doesn't matter. If anything, you could argue that the level of play has increased and that his psychological tactic has worked.
ABC were drunk when they selected the group games they would show. http://www.socceramerica.com/article/56518/espn-releases-2014-world-cup-schedule.html 11:30 a.m. ABC Colombia vs. Greece C Belo Horizonte 5 2:30 p.m. ABC Uruguay vs. Costa Rica D Fortaleza 7 11:30 a.m. ABC Switzerland vs. Ecuador E Brasilia 9 2:30 p.m. ABC France vs. Honduras E Porto Alegre 10 2:30 p.m. ABC South Korea vs. Algeria H Porto Alegre 32
Seriously? They're passing the buck for their main channel to show the USA on a station that would guarantee maximum views in favor of those teams?
scheduling aside, those are very manageable times for games. I like that alot. I fancy a nice 11:30am start to an all day drinking session. I wonder if there are any USA, England back to back games.
