Pia's last time coaching the US... I'm very sad. Hope the girls can give her one more win before she's gone.

Ryan Bowman was pretty good. Why don't the women ever get Victoria Zarlenga?

13' 0-0 Heath through-ball way behind Morgan, misses everybody through arc left. Morgan comes back from box top wide left, intercepts the lazy distribution. Turns with no pressure, passes right instep to 11m spot. Wambach has snuck between 2, but turns her right instep half-volley just wide right of the post.

16' 0-0 USA desperate clear from their own box, to circle back. Australia miss the stop-try, ball bounces through to Morgan in US's half of center circle -- onside. Suddenly it's a 1-v-1 from midfield with the own-goal-sprinting #10 Uzunlar. Morgan slows down through box top 6-right, threatens step-overs -- Uzunlar slide-pokes ball loose, Morgan trips over her. Uzunlar won that one.

21' 0-0 #2 Allen slides through #17 Heath's left ankle at 25m mid-left. Heath does not pop up, but eventually resumes.

22' 0-0 USA pass through arc left to centerline, pushed outward to 15m mid-right. O'Reilly gathers, touches once, crosses hard low to 6-top left. 3 or 4 USA shoes lunge, all miss by a combined <1 radius.

    OG! Deflected shot from HAO

That ball rolled forever before someone came in the frame and shot it.

24' 0-0 #11 De Vanna dives down box left to 12m, crosses to 6-top left post. #9(c) Walsh is there with Buehler(?) pressuring right on her heels, can't low-volley it goalward. Ball skitters across the 6.

25' 1-0 USA long ball, LCB #8 Brogan(?) misses a flick-away at 27m box left. Morgan chases ball down to 6-top mid-left, crosses behind Wambach plowing through 6-top. Ball trickles across to unmarked #9 O'Reilly at 13m mid-right. She shoots to right post low, deflects off #10 Uzunlar's laces at 6-top and up into the roof, way over diving #18 Davey.

30' 1-0 Australia chip up the left to box top, sending De Vanna vs Rampone on another sprint duel :) Rampone steals De Vanna's cutback try -- clever, she doesn't have to win the footrace.

32' 1-1 #4 Polkinghorne dribbles past USA's flank at midfield wide right, to 37m. Curls a fast diagonal ball to 21m arc right, perfectly bends it around #3(c) Rampone, hits #11 De Vanna in stride. De Vanna turns past #6 LePeilbet, rolls it under Solo's right hand into the left side netting.

33' 1-1 Australia longball sends #17 Simon into box top midleft. Solo charges out to 15m, dives on the ball before Simon can flick it.

34' 1-2 Australia left throw-in? #? tightropes up left touch past 1, to box top left touch. High cross curls and drops to 8m center, #5 O'Hara lunges down and misses a clearance. #9(c) Sarah Walsh settles it at 6-top 1/3 right, banks it off Solo's left hip and in. Swan song!!

42' 1-2 Wambach(?) bounces a pass to 9m center. #18 Davey dives out and takes it off Morgan's foot.

42' 1-2 #10 Lloyd snipes a 20m ground pass from centerline to Heath's instep at 19m arc left. Princess can pass accurately when she's on.

43' 2-2 Heath taps out to Morgan. Morgan drifts in, taps out through AUS's diagonal flank to #5 O'Hara overlapping behind them. Suddenly, AUS has 6 players chasing backward, nobody picks up Morgan. O'Hara returns ball to Morgan at 13m mid-left. She leads 2 defenders to 7m 6-left, shoots left foot low -- grazes behind 2 defenders' heels, in front of Davey's sprawled hand, into the right side netting just behind the right post.

Ohara nearly gave it away a few times there and the return pass was slow, but it finally got there.:p
