    My understanding is that the finger came up after he was given the marching orders and not before. Typical stuff from JP. :)

    Al-Ahly's Portuguese coach Manuel Jose has also reportedly asked the Cairo club - Egypt's most successful ever - to cancel his contract and allow him to return to Portugal

    SACKED in just 8 months. I think we all know who really needs to be sacked...

    The system did not work for AVB. Poor guy! He should have stayed with Porto.

    It's obvious he's a class manager...Chelsea is just a mess. The players run the assylum and the owner lets that happen.

    Carlos Queiros's Iran drew 2-2 with Qatar but still managed to continue to the next phase of elimination in Asia for the WC14.

    Not Portugal related, but former portuguese international, Tony Fonseca, is coaching the U23 Canadian NT and he is doing a greta job. We beat USA 2-0, tied with Cuba 1-1 (disappointing) and likely will face Mexico in the semis for a berth at London 2012.

    Roman Abrahomovich just bought America and will bring in AVB to coach the team next season.
