you can say what you want about this tournament but some of the goals have been absolutely top class.... everyday we seem to say "and that's the goal of the tournament", only to a see another beauty the next day.

WTH... Postiga keeps getting there but NO ONE is in the middle to support his runs on the left!

Ronaldo is an interesting person but I really don't care what the hell he does off the pitch. If he wants to wear make up or dress up in drag, who gives a crap? It's his life. As long as he makes the fans happy on the pitch, he is doing his job.

The Dutch defense seems to have the collective IQ of a not very smart mole rat.

    Well congratulations to Portugal :)
Holland was bad in this tournament. Holy shit cow....

Big surprise. Now it should be Germany against Italy or France in the semi final and Portugal Spain ^^

Cant think of anything else, sry :)

Sorry Netherlands... Not a single point, that's so unfortunate. I was really hoping they'd pull it out for this game.

So true Laura!! I don't usually like the guy but man does it feel good he can shut up his critics like this!
I feel sorry for Netherlands though, tough going out without a single point when they were 3rd favourite to win the tournament.

Did anybody really believe (ahead of this game) that Holland would finally manage to win against Portugal? ;) Somehow it was to be expected that Ronaldo starts shining just against them. Congrats on deservedly reaching the 1/4 finals!

So I guess we'll see Spain in the final. Don't see Portugal beating them.

If it's Spain-Germany, I bet Spain gets the bi. But if it's Spain vs. Italy or vs. France, then I couldn't say.

    RONALDO!!!!!! Who else?:D

From what I see in here most dutch aren't fond of us, but I speak for myself and likely most portuguese when I say that I feel sorry for your failure to qualify. Not only Germany have gone through, and they always give us a bad time, portuguese in general admire the oranje football, even despite the "battle of nuremberg" (it was mostly valentin ivanov's fault anyway).

I can see Portugal causing serious trouble to Spain in a possible semi-final clash. Both have to reach the semis first, though...

Last year (or the year before, I can't remember) we beat the recently crowned world champions by 4-0. I'm not saying that if we face them again we'll do it, it's just that you never know. As a portuguese I would be more worried with Germany, France or Italy.

Hell, 2 months is a long way in football. It wasn't long ago Portugal was qualifying for Euro2012 via the back door and their friendlies in the run up weren't impressive. Now it looks like they could win this entire tournament.

I'd say so, if you dismiss the World Cup campaigns of the 1980s where we couldn't even get a team into the tournament.
