I've been saying this for years. I recall at the last Olympics, one of the Portuguese "athletes" claimed that his event was too early in the day and that he'd rather be in his bed in an interview with RTP. I was f***ing disgusted.

Story right here...He has never been called up to the senior squad, thus this can in fact happen.

LOL at Quieroz, what a joke.

Portugal would be stupid to lose Vierinha to Greece. Give the guy a chance at least.

It would suck to lose Veirinha, but there is no space sadly for him on our NT at the moment. Look at the players on the wing, Ronaldo, Nani, Varela, Danny.

I would have him over Quaresma...

    ------C.Ronaldo----------------N.Oliveira----------------------Nani-----

Temos um time muito bom, no papel um dos melhores, mas pra que usar Rolando, Nuno Gomes, Carlos Martins e outras porcarias, se podemos montar um time assim??

Concordo plenamente com esse "time" (equipa para tugas... :) ).

It hit me at some point that, yesterday, while our backline was doing its best impression of Swiss cheese, Bosingwa, R Carvalho, Pepe and Coentrao were running around their practice fields in Madrid and London, getting ready for starting gigs over the weekend at middling clubs like Real Madrid and Chelsea.... It's like a bad dream. How did we go from one of the top 3 backlines in the world to playing a 100% B-team backline in critical qualifiers?! Sigh...

varela is in poor form and veirinha could easily slide into his position. it's not a bad thing to have competition for the wings. personally, i thing V has more creativity at his disposal. doent do any harm to call him up and AT LEAST sit him on the bench

If not getting Carvalho back, Bosingwa should at least take over RB

Boss, Pepe, Alves & Coentrao is a very a good back line

Boss, Pepe, Carvalho & Coentrao would be an insane back line, but I'll take the first.

He has more creativity. But we don't need more of that. Varela is a better passer and more of a winger. He also plays in a better league. For me its Varela > Veirinha.

At first I was furious that I couldn't watch this game. But now I'm glad I didn't see this turd get dropped.

I figured we could at least get 1 point. But why would we want to when we can go to playoffs and give all the fans heartattacks.

Well, If you watched this game you would of had a heart attack. The defensive mistakes were so severely horrifying to witness.

i know im a bit late on this but this was the worst defensive performance for portugal since the brasil debacle in Brasilia. However, this was the worst total performance in a long time. We rarely looked dangerous, at least in Brasilia we were attacking all game.
