Argyle are off the bottom http://www.sportinglife.com/football/live/tables/cc_league2.html unfortunately most of the other teams around Argyle picked up points as well

Argyle did not play well, but luckily goalkeeper Cole was in great form and saved a penalty, and made some very good saves, on PASOTI they have a man of the match poll, at last look Cole had received 95% of the votes.

Tomorrow (monday) Argyle play local rivals Torquay, a win and Argyle could be 5 off the bottom of the league. Argyle are expecting their biggest crowd of the season probably 10,000 +.

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO EVERYONE especially you JJ for hanging in their with Argyle.

OG.... Undefeated in 5.... big match vs Torquay.... i win will really spark 2012...

we have to start winning and not just tying... winning vs the teams in the bottom 3rd of the table... undefeated in 5 show we are tough to beat, but we need to start putting the ball in the net...

OG.. its just you and us on this board usually, so HNY to you.... and to anyone else who stops by the thead...

Come on Argyle, get some wins in 2012, we dont have to win the league, we just have to be 3rd worst!!!

Chadwick going off early was the downfall to Argyles game today, Argyle went down 2-0 and then scored a late goal but ended up losing 2-1, to end their unbeaten run.

Chadwick reckons he has a hammy strain and will be out 10 days, technically he is not a Argyle player now as his contract expired after today, but he reckons it will all be signed and sealed soon.
Also Purse's suspension is now over, so he will be back on saturday and it is assumed he will be signing permanently shortly.

Crewe 3 Argyle 2, 2-0 down at HT got a early break in 2nd half scored on a penalty, but 3 mins later gave away a penalty, Sub Lecointe came on and scored Argyle's 2nd but with a few mins to go Argyle were down to 10 men when Hourihane was sent off. The 10th time this year Argyle had a man sent off.
Argyle are firmly at the bottom as the next team Northampton won, most of the other teams in the division did not play as today was 3rd round of FA Cup.

not that far off of safety though... we can put a win or 2 together, along with losses from other teams... we have a fighting chance

Paul Wotton has scored 67 goals in 573 appearances http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paul_Wotton Paul Wotton is/was considered a god in Plymouth, he was born in Plymouth and he claims he has green blood in his veins. What he was famous for was his bullet of a shot. He his now 34 so coming to the end of his career but what he does bring is experience. The 2nd player Lennox is only 20 and has never played a league game, he was recently released by Bristol City, but has been on trial with Argyle for a few days.

So basically we gained 2 players today and lost one.

well we pull another out at the death... but we need breaks like this... burton albion were quite high on the table.. they have to be kicking them selves on that long bus ride back home...

but... 3 points is 3 points... tied for a safety position, but Dag/Red have a game in hand... if we can put a few more like that together.... win vs teams in the bottom 3rd.. .we should be ok....

    COYG!!!

Nothing new to report. Tomorrow we are home to high flying Crawley so if we can manage a win against them that would be really good. Crawley are currently 3rd one point behind the leaders.
If Argyle did win they could be out of the relegation group.

    Port Vale 1 Argyle 0

Argyle tried to play a defensive game had only one shot on goal in the whole game and ended up losing 1-0 to a 86th minute goal by Port Vale.
Argyle were probably forced into playing defensive game because Feeney became ill overnight and could'nt play, Argyle had to play Chadwick who has'nt played for the last 5 games because of a hamstring injury and he only lasted a hour.
So back to the relegation group. Transfer deadline ends next week and we better get a healthy striker in or we dont stand a chance.

    well suck!!!

i thought once we got out of relegation, we would be above water for a little bit... doesnt help that D&R won.. so now they are 2 points clear...

    crap!!

Today is the transfer day deadline, which means no player can be transferred for the rest of the season but as of next week you will still be able to get loans in.

If Argyle do get anyone in i doubt if they will be expereinced players, probably young players and they will come in on loan.

Oh forgot Argyle did do 2 things last weekend, they extended Bignot's loan till end of season but sent Sutherland back, both players were on loan from Blackpool.

    Argyle v Southend

Argyle down 1-0 after 1 min, defensive error, Argyle down 2-0 after 34 mins another defensive error, HT 0-2. Argyle playing terrible, with 5 mins left still 0-2 nothing happening for Argyle then Plymouth 1 (Nick Chadwick 86) Southend 2, probably the quietest announced goal by Sparksy it was like oh Argyle just scored, then 2 mins later Plymouth 2 (Alex MacDonald 88) Southend 2, Newboy MacDonald scored on the follow up after Chadwick hit the post

FT 2-2 Argyle steal a point.
