Okay guys, this is where all Hope Solo's fans come into the picture... We need our Hope Solo to make it to the number 1 spot so that it can promote Women's Soccer and WPS, and US Soccer in general!

In case you are wondering, Hope Solo is a very good dancer and has steadily improved over the past few weeks. We are HOPE'ING she continues to improve on dancing skills and wins this show.

I'm doing my part to vote at least once to support the USWNT....

The judges clearly hate her and tell her inconsistent things every week. Please keep voting for her if you are a fan of Hope Solo because she is honestly doing her best with her partner and isn't the worse

A vote for Hope is like a vote for little bit more exposure to women’s soccer. You never know the influence of having Hope on the show have on people…from little girls who want to be athletes to dancers or to a potential WPS investor. I don’t know. Even Abby support Hope being on this show:

“To be part of the ‘DWTS’ cast, for [Solo], I don’t understand anybody who thinks that could be wrong because she’s doing more for the game than maybe any of the men have even done in terms of popularity and getting the face out there and our team’s name out there.”

She is probably voting tonight along with LePeilbet, Mitts, Rampone, and other members of USWNT.

I want to vote and show my support for the pair, especially Hope. Hope may not be be the best dancer, but she sure has HEART, GUTS, and HOPE. She is our ‘keeper and the girl deserves our support for all the shit that has been thrown at her in past weeks. They questioned her walk, femininity (how is that possible?), and commitment. They insulted her one way or another and it took guts to hear all of this and not go crazy on national TV (she could, but she wouldn’t).

So guys, if you like/admire Hope just little bit or even USWNT, don’t procrastinate. At least vote one time if you wish or call and text if that’s easier for you. Also, thanks, Maks, for sticking up to her. Yes, a vote for Hope is a vote for you, too.

THERE ARE 3 WAYS TO VOTE

    1. Go to ABC.COM

    2. Text “VOTE” to 3408

    and

    3. Call 1-800-868-3408

***YOU CAN VOTE A TOTAL OF 7 TIMES EACH METHOD!!

Yes, definitely vote. I voted. The judges are being jerks. Our WNT soccer players need to be appreciated more; they represent the country with pride and honor.

don't like DWTS and shows alike, drama is scripted and created for ratings- who cares about performance

But must say Hope is generating publicity for women soccer in the offseason and god knows we need that - let alone regularly on prime time media !
So people should keep them on for as long as possible, even if Hope doesn't like it (haha). Kind of impressed she hasn't blown off on them yet given the amount of criticism

Question, Because I do not watch this kind of dribble...

Have there been one mention of Hope playing in the WPS or for Magicjack ?

I have a bet on this but have not inclination of watching it

Nope no mention of the WPS or MagicJack. When they introduce her they call her "world cup star Hope Solo." They do talk about soccer though and at the beginning of the season when the team was on the celebration tour they showed some footage of her playing so it is good exposure for the national team program.

So is this good exposure or just Hope self promoting ?

I would have thought that WPS exposure should have been the premium on where to see her play.

Exposure to Women's Soccer is ok, but in the end, how does this affect seeing the USWNT play given that the friendlys can be anywhere and anydate

I just don't see how many of the DWTS crowd would attend a soccergame, but many soccer fans seem to tune into this just for Hope

Abby thinks it's good exposure at least. I presume it's a little bit of both.

A lot of people follow the USWNT player(s) to their club teams though - once they know about the USWNT anyway and gain some enthusiasm in following them.

It keeps women's soccer in the news during the offseason. Without DWTS, there would be *nothing* out there during this lull other than the occasional USWNT player appearance and the people who follow those would already be interested (and significantly interested) in USWNT. I like the USWNT plenty but I wouldn't scour the news for every appearance by them (outside of actual play etc). I'd say DWTS has also kept enthusiasm up among fans and has been bringing in new ones who either have never heard of USWNT before or maybe stopped watching in the intervening years since early 2000s.

If Solo stays on the show and makes it to start of US camp or best case, Sweden friendly with hopefully a ton of people in the stands, that'd be fantastic. DWTS will follow her there and there'll be some footage of her, the team, and the crowd.

Will they attend a soccer game? Maybe, maybe not. I do think it'll make them more receptive to women's soccer though. It primes them for the Olympics. "Hey, I recognize that girl and now she's playing for our country. Might as well watch a bit." If the USWNT does very well, they ride the corresponding momentum into the WPS games.

It's very clear that the DWTS controversy this season has been on Hope(is anyone surprised) and Maks. The judges have been ultra critical of her and actually gave her a 6 last week and told her she had the worse dance of the season. This caused her professional dance partner Maks to stand up for her and call the judges out and speak his mind. I don't see anything wrong with that and now the tension has set in for next week.

She has the potential to make it to the final three but she needs to somehow wow the judges. So far the judges have not been impressed with her. Maybe Greg Ryan paid them to be hard on her who knows.

I think this exposure overall will instill recognition Hope Solo with the American viewers so when it does come to USWNT going into the Olympics, they will know who she is at the very least.

With the WPS, it should be the same way, I'm assuming Hope Solo is still associated with Magicjack right?

Did anybody else find it funny that Hope commented that Mak was a true teammate for sticking up for her when she had a bad performance but in '07 Hope threw Scurry under the bus after a bad performance... oh the ironies ;) But apparently since then she had learned what it means to be a teammate.

It is very funny how many "non-soccer fans" have commented to me how the judges are being hard on Hope. I've actually had a few people say they have never heard of her but they are so mean to that poor girl.

I will admit that even though I was/am worried about her getting hurt on the show I have had a fun time watching her and I do vote for her every week.

I've actually heard the opposite. People have said that she has a bad attitude and looks pissed every time she makes it through to the next round. Many non-soccer people expect her and Maks to go next.

You know it seems to be pretty split. There's been a lot published on the drama on E!, People, US Weekly etc and in the comments section either people agree with Mak and think Hope is being treated unfairly or they think she complains a lot. I'm probably a bit biased so can't give a fair assessment but I could see how people would think she had a bad attitude.

Yeah, opinions are probably split. I think the "bad attitude" perception may from her facial expressions during the judging; some of the pics that I have seen seem to catch her when she's making the random frown.

Looks like more drama between Hope and Maksim. Last night they showed rehearsal footage that had Maksim apparently manhandle Hope and then he stormed out of the ballroom.

HOPEfully they made it yet another week so Hope can stay around for when the USWNT face Sweden on Nov 19. Just a few more weeks to go Hope!

Hope Solo has officially made it to the Semi-Finals. She has continued to improve dramatically in her dance performances and it would be a treat to see her in the finals. I don't think she'll win it over J.R. but I think Ricki is slowly losing momentum and Rob isn't nearly as good.

What did everyone think of Hope in the semis? Not surprised that she is having shoulder problems with all the lifts this week... hopefully not going to be a huge issue going forward.

Good piece on Hope from the 2007 world cup. I'm watching the show with non-soccer fans and they were definitely not surprised to see Hope's outburst from the 2007 WC. I'll be honest I thought her little outburst after her Argentine tango wasn't the smartest move if she is hoping to get votes. Definitely didn't look good compared to the feel-good JR and Ricky.

And even though I voted for her I don't think she will make it through this week. JR and Ricky have to high of scores to go home at this point and I think have too much fan support. Rob has the entire Kardashian empire behind him so I can't imagine he is in that much of danger. But what's with Hope saying that they have wanted her out since the beginning? She confuses me sometimes with her comments ;)

That was a case of talking and not knowing when to stop. Par course for this chick, I would say. ;) For the first time, I actually watched an whole hour of this show. I'll refer to a previous post and say that Hope and Maks do not have the best of attitudes. Seriously, when you're in a hole, stop digging.

What I found interesting was that Hope said that she received "shots", which she was saving for the Olympics. That sounds serious. Does this mean that she is out of "shots" now?

    Hope Solo eliminated

If I understand this correctly, she and her partner effectively finished fourth.

So much for rehabbing her shoulder for the Olympics... she may have done more damage or it may be that she needs shots before each time she goes into net...... #rushedbacktoosoon

Plus, now she will be lucky to find a job in the WPS... unless she goes to Atlanta again
