Didnt see any thread about this....so here we can discuss players who have double nationality and can get called up to the mexican NT here is a nice article on a panama & colombian born players who can play for both countries http://www.mediotiempo.com/futbol/m.../extranjeros-de-nacimiento-mexicanos-en-papel
this thread is useless....if they are good at the moment to be on our team they will be called and accept. If not, they will either wait for Mexico or they will run to the US or another country because they will cap them young just to cap them. We don't need to do that.
@GrantWahlInteresting: LA's Omar Gonzalez tells @DougMacespn he'd consider playing for Mexico instead of USA. Como ven?
He's not horrible but we have better options. If he's a left back or centerback we definately don't need him.
Besides the Spanish part, dint we say the same thing about Maza. I would almost look at it in terms of college recruiting. Might have to take one from the nads just to show them you can pluck one from their territory. Is he that bad?
he's a centerback so like you said we got better players than him. he's tall (6 ft 5 in) so it wouldnt hurt to have him available if he is needed. anyway isnt he capped for the usmnt?
I say cap him if he's not just for spite and see how fast those pathetic idiot's start they're racist yet expected chant's against him..
Friendlies don't lock players. I say cap him and watch BS explode Call that dude on trial with City to the senior NT to really stick it to them .. I haven't seen Gonzalez play, but how good can he really be when Tim Ream is getting caps ahead of him? This seems more like him trying to pressure klinsmann into being called
Es este? Se defiende en Español el wey. But is he good? That is the question... [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WxzVBlaJUes&feature=related"]OMAR GONZALEZ LA GALAXY- herbalife - YouTube[/ame]
Omar Gonzalez ( born in Texas, but holds both American and Mexican passport: I went to see a game last week at Red Bull Arena and I saw a Mexican-American defender that impressed me. His name is Omar Gonzalez. He was born in USA, but holds dual nationalities and even has a mexican passport. He is 6 5'' tall and to my surprise he is very fast. He waits more than 200 pounds 220 I think, but he is a giant. He is still elegible to play with Mexico though he was once invited by USA. He has not made an official debut for USA yet. I think Mexico should take a look at him. Having an extremely tall and fast player as a deffender does not happen that often. He was the rookie of the year in 2009. He can also score http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Omar_Gonzalez
Omar Gonzalez is still eligible to play for Mexico. He was called once, but did not dress. He has not played in an official game yet.
