Talented kid, had a hat-trick a few weeks back. The real talent on Racing is probably Centurión.

I believe there is a U20 match between Mexico on Tuesday? Anybody have a clue who got called up or whatnot, haven't seen much in the papers.

NM, got it from the AFA's site.

Convocados. Los citados son: Carlos Ruiz, Matías Kranevitter, Emanuel Mammana y Giovanni Simeone (River Plate); Alan Aguirre y Lisandro Magallan (Boca Juniors); Andrés Mehring y Marcos Fernández (Colón de Santa Fe); Eugenio Isnaldi y Jonathan Valle (Newell’s Old Boys); Juan Musso y Mauro Ezequiel Bazan (Racing Club); Lucas Rodríguez (A.A.Argentinos Juniors); Gastón Gil Romero (Estudiantes de La Plata); Ángel Correa (San Lorenzo de Almagro); Leonel Buter (Independiente); Lucas Salas (San Martín de San Juan); Brian Fernández (Defensa y Justicia); Federico Cartabia (Valencia FC - España) y Juan C. Careaga (All Boys).

Just to let you know about our Achilles heel. Goalkeepers.

At present we have two 20 year old's playing in or around the Premiership. One is a name familiar to anyone who has followed the pibes Damian Martinez. Unfortunately Wenger still prefers Mannone in league games but Damian did his chances no harm with his first team debut for Arsenal in a League Cup win over Coventry.

Who (no offence Leon ;)) are no great shakes at the moment being in the third tier of English football.

The other is Paolo Gazzaniga who came here via Valencia. He wasted 2 years there in the reserves not playing any senior football despite his abilities and joined Gillingham a side in the fourth tier of the English game and was the best keeper in that division alongside current England number 2 Jack Butland.

Newly promoted Southampton signed him in the summer for a fee of around a million pounds. Initially he had to play second fiddle to veteran Kelvin Davies but has been the first choice in the last two games.

He has excellent distribution skills from the back, is very large in the goal, pretty decent at crosses and a very good shot stopper. He also for a young kid not short of confidence and will shout and order senior defenders infront of him.

I hope the Argentina national team scouts are aware of him. Hopefully this bodes well for the future of the position of goalkeeper. Both are terrific prospects.

^^, No, I haven't heard much about him.

Tied Mexico 0-0 a few days back and today's game vs Colombia ended 1-1. The formation was

Formación de la Argentina para enfrentar a Colombia: Juan Musso; Carlos Ruíz, Lisandro Magallán, Alan Aguirre, Marcos Kranevitter, Jonathan Valle, Marcos Fernández, Lucas Rodriguez, Leonel Buter, Manuel Lanzini y Federico Cartabia.

Did not watch the game. Next game will vs Chile, will hopefully catch that.

Looks like our pibes won the 4 team tourney in Chile. Beat Chile 2-1. 2 draws(Mexico and Colombia) and a win(Chile) was enough to do so.

These two look like a pair of schmucks. Whatever happened to players of great charisma such as Kempes, Bertoni, Caniggia, Batistuta, Ortega, and of course Maradona.

As long they have the attitude who cares about the look? Although all our attacking players these days does looks like mama boy.

Spain NT mostly looks like 3 amigos and a midget and they have no problem destroying the German & Italy.

What we need is someone who looks commanding in their position like Maradona,Ruggeri, Redondo and Roman. I never like players with negative attitude like Ortega and Tevez. Tevez almost cost us the qualifier with 2 reds and Ortega cost us the World cup quarterfinal where it could have been an extra time.
