interesting though that every player in that list will be 35 or older when NYCFC starts playing. Sorry no way in the world Kreis is going along with that.

Interesting... NewYorkCityWatch @NYCFCWatch 28 year old Marseille strike André-Pierre Gignac (@10APG) now follows @NYCFC. His contract is set to expire August 2015.
Carles Puyol linked with NYCFC http://prosoccertalk.nbcsports.com/...c-wants-to-bring-carles-puyol-to-mls-in-2015/ I think he would be too old. Even for MLS.
Probably the Italian league. I am fairly certain that Serie A, like most top European leagues, has way more older players than MLS.
Altidore certainly seems possible now. For better or for worse. Jason Kreis would be a god to me if he could convince MCFC to buy Julian Green away from Bayern....
After seeing Bradley going to Toronto, I would say Jozy definitely could be a possibility. And his situation is a lot worse than what Bradley's was at Roma.
No sure if it means anything but Jozy Altidore is following NYCFC, Reyna and Kreis on twitter... and is followed by Kreis
Messi recently followed MCFC on instagram... If Messi goes to a City, he'll come to our City at some point.
I'm sure he already does, occasionally, for vacation. I hope one of the first signings Kreis and Reyna make is a creative midfielder like Javier Morales or Diego Valeri. Forget the splash, this is a must. Of course, there are plenty of creative mids that are high-profile Euro stars.
Those guys are good but how can you say that in light of what Defoe and Bradley demonstrated today? City has the money and players already in the stable that can have that kind of impact here.
I´m in two minds about marquee players.. Just because you have the money to make it happen it´s no guarantee that they will do the job really. We need (and I´m quoting both Kreis and Txiki on this) players that are dedicated to the team for real.
At best they can bring in 3 DPs, players like Bradley or Defoe or Keane. Its possible that loans can help (like Julio Cesar) too. But there is no way you are fielding a starting 11 w/ all those players. Just look at Toronto, sure they have Defoe and Bradley, but then you got Mark Bloom starting. And let's not even talk depth. TFC is 1-2 injuries away from disaster. Thats the pit that NYCFC will dig for themselves if the new roster is all about DP-money players. Its real. They need players in the spine, spend your big $ there, and surround them with MLS quality players.
"A football team is like a piano. You need eight men to carry it and three who can play the damn thing." -Bill Shankly
Except NYCFC will start play under a new CBA that I expect to be substantially higher than the current one.... I mean, we won't have depth like Bayern Munich but the problem will be eased each and every year.
What about Wesley Schneijder ? I haven't seen him play recently but he is pretty young still . Might be good option?
