I hope that Mano has his eyes on Hoffenheim midfielder Luiz Gustavo, he is such a crack in the midfield. I think he is the better Lucas.

Ahh so long since I last heard of him! Please could you tell me more? Is he still playing as a DMF? How often is he playing? What's some of his best qualities?

I like to keep an eye out for young DMFs since that's a position we've been lacking, but unfortunately I don't get many chances to watch Hoffenheim :(

Luiz Gustavo is regular starter since he joined Hoffenheim. His biggest problems was that he was having 'brazilian black outs' ;) and getting banned due to some hard tackles but he changed, and has turned into a Makelele-Ramires clone.

I mean he is very thin, but his midfield presence is amazing this season, he is also able to play some fine passes and he helps out and fights back for every ball in the midfield.

There was a great saying from his coach, against Bremen, (where Gustavo revealed the whole Bremen central midfielders as slow and old,)

in the beginning of the match, he caused a penatly with his hand (unlucky scene) and later in the game, he gave one asist for Ibisevic (youtube link), and the coach said after the game:

'Gustavo ?....every time he touched the ball with his feet he was amazing' :D

what did you guys think of Coutinho's performance for Inter today. am watching the game now.

i'm very impressed with his style of play. for a kid his age - he plays like he is in his mid 20's - not much hot dogging and keeping it simple and he is always moving around off the ball - follows up on his passes and if he loses a ball he runs to try to get it back.

would like to hear your thoughts....

Fernandinho is out for at least 10 weeks... That's a good result, cause without modern medical technologies Shakhtar have injuries like that may result a whole year damnation and consequences for a whole career.

He was much better than during his league debut..Yesterday he was not nervous and created a very good opportunity for Mariga and his passing and off the ball movements were great too...
But he's still doesn't look physically strong enough ..

neither does messi, and he has been turning out to be a decent player ;)

he'll get there strength-wise. that shouldn't be a concern for an 18-year old.

if he plays between 20-30 games in all competitions this year and can get a few assists/goals i think that will be a great accomplishment for the 18 year old.
