Wide corner leads to a shot from Cabaye outside that is blocked. But the cross put back in is headed wide by Ba. The lads are definitely responding to the situation.

51' Gardner booked for tackling the ball and Coloccini going over. Not sure that was even a foul, but I'll take it.

Love how the analysts immediately go for how Tiote overreacted. Reaction doesn't matter, Sessegnon threw an elbow into his throat. Had to go.

    73' Colback for Larsson.

Remind me, are we up 11-10 in players? Hasn't seemed it.

That's two OBVIOUS penalty decisions not given, good shout for a third we didn't get.

77' Finally some pure class from HBA. After a free kick was awarded "play on" by Deano at the top of the box.

At the rate we are going, we're gonna be lucky to get the draw. With Chelsea just sacking their manager, we definitely could be in the fight for 5th with a win.

82' Ba misses the penalty Shola drew.

At the sixth appeal we get one and Ba misses it.

88' Lovenkrands and Bridge(85) on, Taylor and Richardson off. Truly last chance saloon.

After the second half I'm convinced it's Pardew's tactics that are holding us back. Much, much better. On a different day we win comfortably, given the circumstances I'll readily take the draw.

Nothing to be happy about there. Everyone acting like we won. We likely lost Europe. It's not all down to Mike Dean, either. We truly didn't start playing until Shola got on the pitch, 15 minutes after we went up a man.

How did Shola not get to take the penalty he won? Sure victory had he smashed it in.

I agree with the announcer who was saying that Newcastle shouldn't have been wasting time celebrating and should have grabbed the ball and gotten set back up. I think that was a great snap shot into the mind set of the players, just being happy with getting a tie, being OK, not pushing through to their full potential every match and having a sense of purpose and passion.

Newcastle wasted opportunities repeatedly today. Their build up for the past few games has been poor and that is putting it nicely. AP better figure things out before the Arsenal match or we will continue to drop points we shouldn't. AP made several tactical errors today, most obvious ones were taking Santon off who was playing fine for HBA instead of taking Taylor off who had an OK first half at best. His second sub mistake was not taking Tiote off. Tiote did not have the best game.

Evidently Cattermole was sent off after the final whistle. We didn't get video on FSC+

Not necessarily. Only two points off Chelsea and Roman just sacked AVB.
