We're actually not playing too badly. Better first 20 min than Arsenal had today, that's for sure... (BTW, if you are in the US, Premiere League is on the USA Network today because NBCSN is covering the Olympics.)
And the inevitable begins. 1-0 Chelsea. As usual, we're creating lots of chances and blowing all of them.
I think SAMeobi, De Jong, and Sissoko all had decent halves. Not liking Santon as a CM. would have rather he moved to RB when Debuchy went out. The team has not played horrible, Chelsea just has a quality that Newcastle doesn't. The defense, Santon running aimlessly around in the middle of the field, and HBA just not being the creative/attacking force we all expect him to be have to be the biggest disappointments to me.
Can't play out of our own half, can't create an attack. Save from individual moments of brilliance, this team is feckless.
Listened to the game, didn't watch it, but there were a few things I didn't like. 1. Santon at DM. Really? 2. Ben Afra in front of Debuchy. Put Sissoko there and Ben Arfa in the middle. He doesn't track back and always leaves Debuchy exposed so either he can't bomb forward like he's good at or we end up giving the other team a great scoring chance (or goal) because he's bombed forward and Ben Arfa doesn't cover him. 3. Gosling for Hatem? Really? 4. WTF has happened to MYM? 5. We've scored in one of our past seven games. Coincidentally, we've won one of our last seven games. At least there was no sign of Shola.
