    Incorrect.

On the contrary, we should begin their misery at once, escalate it steadily, and finish them with a flourish of agony that will scar them all through the offseason. 5-0 in the first leg with Lenhart redcarded and Wondo injured would do it for me. Then Gordo can have a hat trick in the last 10 minutes of the return leg, cause I'll always have a soft spot for him.

Game day!!! I am sooo pumped!! Let's get this guys! I, unlike some other posters, are hoping for no injuries nor sending offs for either team, and a good clean back and forth contest between two great teams.... Oh who am i kidding, i want us to demolish san jose, completely crush their morale and their dirty stinking players. I want lenhart to get an injury and a red card simultaneously, i want wondo to trip on lenharts dbaginness and suffer a broken ankle, and i want their whoever is taking corners for them drown in the pool of tears the almighty "ultras" leave in their little corner after witnessing their team be demolished and realizing their city is an absolute craphole and realizing that they have nothing to live for. That being said....
    Go team

Franklin trained with the team the last two days. Hopefully this means he'll be starting with the team today.

Looks like Chippen will also be available. I doubt he'll be starting unless Juninho is out, and Sarvas starts in his place, and Donovan is moved back up top.

Hey guys, I don't know whether you guys realize this or not, or even care about it... but these semi-final games could be Beckham's last games with the club. With football altogether. If things don't go our way, the return game could be his platform to say goodbye to you guys, us, the footballing world. Unless the club wanted to do a farewell game sometime in the off-season to give him a proper goodbye.

Well, just thought to give you guys some probabilities though I hope it won't happen because I want us to win the MLS Cup once again this year! OR at least beating the San "****" Jose to the final because they need to be taken down to earth! By us!

May the force be with us all the way to the final and we will hold the Cup once again because I know we can. I know Bruce knows we can and I know he knows how to do it. I just hope he will.

I'm nervous. Good luck guys! Amen!

I've got a couple ideas for signs in the stadium to be directed towards SJ...feel free to use them :)

MLS Playoffs...what the hell have you done in those lately???

Daylight Saving Time...we know you think its another ploy by MLS headquarters to give the Galaxy an advantage by getting more rest

my favorite...to borrow a bit from Arena before the previous SJ match:
We don't give two sh*ts about your Supporters Shield

    Carry on....

I don't get where all this talk about Beckham retiring after this season is coming from. He still has one year left on his contract, and I don't see him as the kind of guy who will retire before his contract is up. I feel like he would love to get a chance to win the Champions League.
My gut just tells me that no matter what happens in the playoffs, he'll be back next season.

Well...the "one year" that left in his contract is optional. Means, either he choose to stay, or he choose to go. OR...either the club choose to keep him next year, or they let him go. The LA Time even reported that Tim Leiweke has started thinking life without DPs (more without Becks, I think) for next season or the season after that.

FYI, my guts tells me the same thing too - that he'll be back next season (at least to fight for CCL title with this club)...if he played superbly and/or looking as young as ever in this playoffs.

Let's forget about this for now and focus at this first game first. My bad for raising this up in the game thread.

Unless he's injured, Beckham's final season will be a barnstorming, ticket selling bonanza of highlight reels and parades.

Also on the MLS site is a big headline saying "Buck Shaw Won't Host MLS Cup". No news there.

Or just post it for all to see! Are the "regular free spots" just sidewalk parking on the street?

After watching some video of some of the Earthquakes' games, I think I was wrong when I wrote that Marvin Chavez's left foot is his preferred foot. I think Chavez is right-footed. For instance, he takes his corner kicks with his right foot.
