Bloody hell, that was nerve wracking. We’ll need to be a lot better against Houston. Classy loss Seattle
Watch the handball here: http://www.mlssoccer.com/video/2012/11/18/penalty-keanes-cross-meets-johansson-outstretched-arm Adam moves his left hand forward, toward the path of the ball (39' mark). Now watch him running (12'): his hand doesn't move forward as part of the step, he basically stops and is balanced, and bringing that hand forward forces him to correct balance. That to me indicates that it was intentional.
That game sucked ass, I haven't been that nervous in a long time.... That being said - The flight to LA is booked! MLS Cup 2012 baby!
As long we as are in agreement that it must be intentional, we have agreed on definitions and can have this conversation. I disagree- I don't think he is intentionally playing the ball with his hand. His body is contourted and he's trying to balance on defense.
I was more nervous in the 2nd Leg against the Smurfs after they cut our aggregate lead to 1. Opara nearly broke our hearts.
180 minutes of play does not hinge on a handball call. 3-nil after the first leg. We did enough to kill the second. Let's ask the Seattle players if that handball decided this series. I think we all know what the answer would be. Spend all the time you'd like debating that call - I'll be enjoying myself in the stands while we make our second straight trip to the cup. A deserved one might I add.
LA are playing at home and will be getting Donovan back, the Galaxy are the favorites but they shouldn't underestimate Houston.
Well the team walked off the stage as the confetti fell. They know not to celebrate just yet. That being said. I Am Bloody Glad We Won Because It Was Not Looking Good!! 3 Finals appearances in 4 years. That Is Nothing To Sneeze At People! So As Always Its Time For Me to Dance Soul Train Style.
Except for the called back goal, and the illegitimate penalty kick, no Seattle fans cannot blame the ref. This was really 3-0 Seattle.
