Looks like I was right. His hand ball cost them a Penalty which resulted in the winning goal.

He was great against Seattle in the first game of that series. He might be still trying too hard and still getting to know the guys, but that will get better with time.

MY PERSONAL "BEST MOMENTS" OF THE GAME:

    1. Keane's double off-side goals.
One of them was a fair call - he was a step ahead of Houston's backline. The other....not so much, it was a legitimate one. Either way, the two would-be goals served to set off panic alarms within the Houston team and they were shaken, while it had the converse effect of boosting the morale of the Galaxy players.

    2. Omar Gonzalez being a G and taking Calen Carr out of the game.
It was a questionable lunge by Carr, but I don't fault him for going for it. I'm only thankful that he somehow managed to push Omar in a way that Gonzo's body would rag-doll and his side and cleat would spin and hit the meat of Carr's hip and thigh. Carr owned himself, blame can't really be placed on Omar. That said, talk about an awesome unintentional hip-check by Gonzo; The fact that Omar can somehow manage to do the correct thing in a situation, even when he's trying to do something entirely else, logically makes him the greatest soccer player ever. I am not kidding.

As CoolPartyFratbro Taylor Twellman said, when Carr was subbed out Houston went from having two guys on Omar, now down to Boswell alone. Real turning point in the team's fortunes.

    3. Juninho marking Khandji.
I can only say "WTF" followed by a laugh: Let's get the shortest player on the field to mark the tallest one on the field. On goal line. You even saw it in the interaction between the two guys - they were both looking at each other like, "Somehow I don't think this is supposed to happen...?" Love Juninho's effort, though he quickly got pushed over a moment later. If this indeed is his last game with us, I will sorely miss the little Brazilian.

    4. Beckham's Sacrifice At Goal.
Major kudos for the flying tackle to block the shot at goal by Houston. Later, David gave up his final chance at a free kick goal for LA, instead opting for the safer route by doing a lateral pass to Donovan to eat up time. If that doesn't prove he was a team player in the final stretch during his tenure in Los Angeles, I don't know what does. Thank you, and congratulations Monsieur Beckham. Adieu a Paris?

    5. Willie's Juke.
I liked how Wilhelmsson just shook off I think it was Davis? Nice, crisp run in the first half, managed to stay on the ball after a physical push and pinched in to make a few more clean short passes. I say his best game for us yet.

    6. Keane being Keane. What else has to be said? The man is an Irish god. Keane is such a beast that he even had the ability to shed his red hair to go full super saiyan brunette. I think this has led to increased IQ points and soccer reasoning, with improved perception due to the black hair absorbing more sunlight while playing, while incidentally also keeping his head warm in cold weather.

    7. Fiat Lux (Let there be light - University of California motto).
How could it get more picturesque than when the clouds parted and the light came flowing through - can you say Hollywood ending? That is as beautiful as I have ever seen Carson. Even the weather was rigged in our favor :D.

    8. Bruce Almighty's Lion King moment with the baby. I guess he does know some dark arts of le soccer:

    9. Beckham's Kid getting sad at the end because he realizes that its over.
You could see the young one with the hat clamp his eyes shut when Beckham leaned in to whisper something - probably realizing that his family is on the move again, and he will be leaving America and his friends once more. I would say tough life for a kid, but somehow I think the bazillions of family dollars will soak up the tears.

    10. Gonzalez Thanking Phil Anshutz Personally.
Definitely should set off warning bells about Omar's future in LA - a transfer is in his immediate future I say.

    11. Defending the Cup! Well done Galaxy, well done. Get a good rest, and here's to next season!

I'm torn on Wilhelmsen. He works hard, and has nice ball skills. But he either doesn't see or doesn't want to make the quick pass or through ball.
And Buddle looks terrible. Slow and uninterested. Dude comes in late with fresh legs and is moving less than anyone else on the field but Saunders.

Awww..that last pic - soooo cute!!! Since Cruz was the only one who's got wet hair there...I think he's accomplished what he'd miss last year - to sneakily taste the champaigne that's been spraying/flying around the locker room, only this time he's got really lucky because it's pure champaigne and no Budweiser! LOL!
(though I have a suspicion that Mama Becks will give Papa Becks an ear-full when she saw this pic. If she's not already! :p)

Beckham spitting out the champagne after drinking it from the Cup; I’m sure it was because he still had the presser to do and didn’t want to be loaded, but for me the inner monolog was “What is this shit? Where’s my bottle of Krüg?”

How sharp are those suits? I hope we maintain that tradition.

...though it's sad that Becks won't be there together on the pitch next year.

(I hope Galaxy's dream for Kaka will come true!)
