I like telling other grown men at Union games to suck on my balls in a non gay manner, who is to tell me I am wrong?

Are people arguing over scarves and nicknames? I have a simple solution. Its called affirmative action. From this point on, the percentage of elders who have accumulated more than 6 hours lifetime of D&D, Magic the gathering, or any other fantasy role playing games involving 12 sided die, but not involving dildos or butt beads, is to be kept below 50% of the total of all elders.

Thank you, now please suck on my balls.

Really? That is constructive. Those that are insecure and can't win their aurgements on the merits resort to name calling. If you don't blindly accept what is going on 100% then you should just leave? If you suggest where things could be better then you are bashing everyone? I do not know where this believe that if you (in the general sense not you personally) blindly follow everything 100% like a member of a cult then you the enemy.

This and the Roger chants. It is disrespectful to chanting for a player that is on the bench while our team is playing its hearts out in front of us.

You needs lessons in diplomacy, if you don't have time for the lessons, maybe you could just try to be a little less of a big ********ing douchebag. Your attitude sums up why so many people are SOB's in name only.

You're not suggesting where 'things could be better' you're saying that they are doing a bad job. You're suggesting things that they've already tried (open discussions with anyone who has a problem) NO ONE SHOWED UP. I'm not an elder, but I know that I can get in contact with any one of them if I needed to, and they would be more than happy to give me a response in a timely matter. You're just complaining to complain, that's how I see it.

I had pretty much the same gut reaction while reading Jim's post.

    Statements like

    and

are, even as a rank-and-file member, just mind-bogglingly asinine.

You read things like that and you just shake your monitor in frustration.

I know you are, but what am I?

What did Jim say that was untrue? I don't feel exactly the same way as him, but I don't think it takes a big stretch to see where he is coming from.

Its cool, some people will blindy follow, others want to know whats going on, everyone has their own parameters, who am I to say who is wrong or right?

Exactly, I am not saying I would disagree or do things differently for the vast majority of the time. I just think that people should be able to voice their opinions without being attacked or told to put up or shut up. A heathly discussion is a good thing in my opinion. Why can't we let everyone voice their concerns what would the harm in that be. I am not saying that it would be right in every case but it could not hurt.

    Obviously 12 years old.

And what did jim say that was untrue? For starters, he claims that the elders are unwilling to communicate with membership...that is the furthest thing from the truth.

And no one is blindly following...did you ever think everyone who follows might agree with them? I'm not blind to anything that goes on in this organization (oh there's another thing jim was wrong about). Please show me things he said that are true.

Has anyone ever volunteered their time to help only to be turned away? I've never seen that happen, but if you can point to someone who has, then fine.

And unwilling to communicate with membership? From here it seems like Ansbro and co are bending over backwards to create avenues of communication.

I don't know. Or maybe I'm just a blind follower. Gotta work on being more "mavericky."

    See that's reasonable.

Even if I very much disagree with the motion that the leadership is closed to others' opinions.

    edit: sorry for double post.

Well it took a few hours, but we did it!!!!!! Congrats to all involved!:D

We proved that we could beat a simple topic such as sports nicknames into submission and instead start a debate on capitalism, democracy, communism and the constitution. I am speechless!

See you all at the game tomorrow!! DOOP

This was a stupid thread, its fairly obvious that the Elders and other SOB fanboys are completely perfect in every aspect of living. If you have any criticisms please keep them to yourself because your thoughts are meaningless drivel.

Don't worry, his profession gives him a nasty susceptibility to conspiracy theories among leadership(love ya, Jim)...

welcome to an organization with 5000 members. Some of you won't like everything that happens. you have a right to disagree, but to call out leadership for not doing good enough job(because you know, they don't have other ones they actually get paid for), is a bit of a dick move. The functioning part of this organization is a year and a half old as far as games/member concerns go, give it some time. Yea, there are things to improve on, there always will be, but you guys already ran Bryan James out of town, give Ansbro a chance. He's been really good about assessing actual problems brought up on this board so far.

edit: also, someone rep ofey for me on the Mwanga/Ruiz issue. I've been saying it since day 1. Support the players on the field, its the ultimate disrespect to call for another player, and I wouldn't be surprised if Ruiz secretly hates all of us for it.

    CAUTION: LONG POST!

Jim, I agree with you about having healthy discussions and we can certainly have them. Although, to me, you seem to have a very slanted opinion about SoB and the leadership. I haven't had any discussions with you directly about the ideas, concerns or thoughts you put into this thread on how to make SoB better. The only time you and I have talked really is when you wanted something regarding the Independence. That's a whole other topic of discussion though.

I do take issue though when you say in this post above that healthy discussions are a good thing but in your previous post you basically poison your own argument by saying the following:

"In theory we have so called section reps that are supposed to be able to voice our concerns but no one knows who they are since the elders wont let people know who they are. "

You're say this like there is some sinister plan to keep the sections reps secret and hidden from you. Could we communicate who those people are better than we have? Sure? Have you made a suggestion on how to do that? Not that I'm aware of but I'm sure we can both generate a few solid ideas.

"It seems some times that when people want to help out they are shut out."

Completely and utterly false. I just don't know how else to say it. We're always soliciting volunteers and we use them. I just put a post out last week about needing help building the new website. We needed someone to volunteer to handle travel, the first time we've had a position like that, and Kelly Delaney stepped up. Justin Lee is heading up all the new chants and songs. There's info on that coming out shortly. We need more help but that comes with time as needs are identified and planned out.

"It is like they have an old school communist mentality."

So the volunteers in leadership and those that dedicate their own time to help run this organization think like communists? We're communists now? That doesn't help with a "healthy discussion" at all. We're all VOLUNTEERS. We're doing our best and we know we can be better but to basically call us communists is just ridiculous.

I'll acknowledge some of the compliments you had in your posts as well. I'd say they're appreciated but, quite honestly, they come across as backhanded and insincere. If you want to have a "healthy" discussion let's have it. You've always had my info to get in touch with me directly. You can get in touch with anyone of the leadership. Anyone can. We've never stopped listening and trying to improve. You may not like everything that is done but we've never stopped you from voicing your opinion about it.

Related to this, there WILL be a members meeting most likely in late August depending on how scheduling works out. We've all been discussing it for a while and we know it's overdue. It's going to tie into another event that going to be announced as well. We'll have more information soon.

If you take anything from my post here, or any post I've made, you'll know that I don't subscribe to your statement above. Some guys are more passionate than others in the defense of SoB but I know we're not perfect and you'll never hear that from me.

This group has some much good going for it, so many possibilities, but we have to learn to stop killing each other because we have a difference of opinion. We need to stop turning things personal. We're two years into being a full fledged membership and it's going to take more time to really build us organizationally but we'll get there. It's just going to take time, patience, and cooperation.

I'm of the same mind..."Pink Cows" is pretty lame.
plus - the Cows are the home team of South Park - show some respect!

I usually refer to our neighbors from the north as some variation of NYEDofNJ (NewYorkEnergyDrinksofNewJersey).

FULL DISCLOSURE: I am a New Jersey resident who hates that THREE New York teams actually play in new jersey.
EVEN FULLER DISCLOSURE: I am from South Jersey, and consider anything north of Burlington County's northern border a separate state.

    Seriously?

Tell us exactly what you want to see from this group and its leadership. I suggest you have the balls to come have a beer with us Friday night and talk this stuff out, because quite frankly, you've added nothing to this board or the organization since you got here.

I will personally sit down with you and moderate between you, Andy, Logue and whatever elders I can find. If at the end of the conversation you feel as though nothing has come to a conclusion, then maybe you need to think about relocating your seats.

Take a page from basic political science. Those in power are more compelled to do something when a face is placed to a problem. Show yours instead of pumping out BS on BS.

For the love of Christ, the Corner Creeps, God love 'em don't put up this much of a fuss and they dislike authority as much as anyone.

I'm offering this in a totally non-threatening way and I hope you take us up on the offer seriously.

First off let me start with HOW THE HELL DID THIS TURN FROM "IDISLIKE PINK COWS" TO "I DISLIKE/LIKE THE ELDERS/LEADERSHIP" My point, im not a blind follower of the leadership and when ive had issues with something i either sent a message through the site (which i have always gotten a response to) or easily enough ive asked others who an elder was until i found the appropriate one and took my issue to them and it is usually solved. So i dont see where they dont listen to us. Sure everything wasnt miraculously fixed right away but these things take time and i know that.

And second like said before nothing is stopping you from calling the other teams whatever you want, so who are you to make other people stop calling them what they want. Somehow Pink Cows New Jersey caught on and we ran with it. So once again like someone said before MAKE SOMETHING UP AND RUN WITH IT who knows it might just be the next big thing.

I dont see what was so hard about this and why this even needed to be a thread but hey that is your prerogative and i just hope PCNJ fans arent looking at this laughing their (i dont care if its the right one or not you grammer nazis) asses off at us while we air all of what seems to be our dirty laundry over the public forums.

Dude , you are nuts. I now remember you. You are the guy that threatens to beat people up over the internet. It was called sarcasm and I like to use it often.

Get a sense of humor. Like I told you before, you need to get a little perspective. Its a supporters group for a soccer club, it is basically one step up from a cheerleading troop. It is not that important in the grand scheme of things. It isn't going to end racism, it won't cure cancer, definetly isn't helping with obesity. For ********s sake, if you have this much righteousness, at least have it about something that matters more than a little bit.

Didn't you quit the internet a few months ago? I guess that didn't last long, now you are back as the judge of alls things useful on the internet?

I like my seats, so I don't think I will be moving anytime soon. I also like free speech, so I won't be shutting up anytime soon. As for meeting up with you, no thanks. I have enough mentally unbalanced friends already.
