Right before 10am, Phoenix's ABC affiliate ran a crawl saying they'd be temporarily taking their signal offline for "required maintenance."

What they DIDN'T tell you (unless you went to their website) was that the outage is supposed to last until AROUND 4PM (PT).

They SAY their signal will still be available on DirecTV, but it isn't. It isn't on DISH, either. It apparently is on COX and Qwest.

If you have satellite and you're getting hosed and you live on the north or northwest side of town, we're going to Tailgaterz at 60th Ave. & Bell, where they say they can get the game on Cox. Come one, come all.

I just filed a formal compliant with the FCC through Dish Network against our ABC affiliate for what was a very bad judgement and apparently a Pro cox and qwest and anti satellite maneuver. Maintenance schedules are not just randomly executed. This would have been scheduled long ago if it is really maintenance. And ABC should have made alternate provisions. Can maintenance not be done in the late night hours? I suggest that everyone contact their satellite company and have them file a formal complaint with the FCC regarding these disgusting actions by our local affiliate. I also emailed engineering@abc15.com with a few choice words. I suggest you do the same. I may also email ABC network and make them aware of what is going on here in the desert. At a time when we are trying to promote the sport here in Phoenix, we look the fool to those who do not yet appreciate the "Beautiful Game" when our local network decides that tightening a few screws is more important then televising on a Sunday Afternoon.

On the channel 15 News they said they will show the game Monday at 2:30 am. I like most soccer fans, will watch the game on ESPN2.

They are trying what ever they can do in this country to sqwash soccer... If it was the super bowl they would have done the so called maintenance another time.
