I heard the tv spot "phil-a-del-phia UUUUUUUUUUUUU nion" sound play twice so far on the mid day show, but no union talk yet.
you know, broseph is like saying "you feel me"? Even if you're saying it ironically, you're a douche. like i said, it sounds like you really need some luck in life. It's thrown you a bad curve so far. So good luck.
I listened from 10:20 - 2pm and no mention of the union other then them playing that one commercial cahnt twice.
You listened to WIP for almost four hours? Wow. How much did the ambulance guys charge you for the oxygen?
A Friday before a Phillies playoff game (and coming off Doc's no-no) and with an Eagles game on tap, is not exactly when you should expect to hear chatter about a Union game.
Please, I can't stand the suspense. Who was this mysterious WIP DJ guy? Was it Gargano, who sometimes expresses some affinity for soccer?
Idk if anyone has brought this up or any of yall have noticed buuuuuuuuuut In the long version of the Nike BOOM commercial where they have the large montage of the other shorter commercials (Sabin, Tebow, LeBron, Suh) There's totally a shot of PPL Park!!!!!!!! just sayin
Sorry, didn't get a link yet: Reported by David Madden, KYW Newsradio. CHESTER, Pa. (CBS) — A group of Chester (Delaware County) residents, upset that they’ve gone for years without a hometown supermarket, has vowed to disrupt things at this weekend’s Philadelphia Union soccer game if they don’t get some attention — and action — from city officials. Two members of a group called “Action United” have presented staffers for Pennsylvania state senator Dominic Pileggi with a letter demanding more than the alleged lip service that protest leader Pat Worrell says she has heard from Pileggi and mayor Wendell Butler: “They make statements about how much they want to have a supermarket here in the city but nothing’s been done.” Residents now have to travel to Eddystone, Upper Chichester, or the Granite Run Mall — some by bus — to get food ever since the last family-owned supermarket in Chester shut its doors about a decade ago. And they wonder, with a new casino and a soccer stadium, why getting a supermarket is so difficult. So the group vows to block one of the parking lots at this Saturday’s Union soccer game to make their point. Pileggi was in Harrisburg on Thursday on legislative business. A staffer said her boss regrets not being able to meet with the protesters.
I feel for them and they definitely need a supermarket in the city, especially after being promised that the development in the area would bring things like that, but the only thing blocking a parking lot is going to do is get those guys arrested in a hurry.

I support them. And I think the SOBs should make our support known. I think that's one our core goals at this point, no? Helping Chester? It would do a lot for our image.
