Has anyone seen the promos etc for PES 2008 (Wii)? Holy crappin' moley!

I was thinking about getting FIFA 08 but am glad I held off. Check out the "controls" video in the related link I tacked onto this thread.

    Had to share.

No idea if MLS teams are part of the package. I think the Bundesliga is not available, which is strange.

Never mind that first video... watch this one.

Sorry to be so spammy, but I am STOKED about this game. I was totally into this demo like it was a real match.

Hah, that's awesome... Dudu passed to Kaka.

Am I correct in assuming that PES still does not have the actual names for MLS team players and US Nat players

I haven't made it to the store to buy the game yet, but the preview vids I have seen with the USNT shows generic players (physically) for #18 and #10.

They seem to have invested heavily in getting the names right for Brazil.

That'd be important to me, I guess, if I was Brazilian.

    Thanks for the reply.

This was the first soccer game that I bought (WinningEleven9). I sold it a week later and bought FIFA 06. It looks really cool but I can not support a soccer game that does not support my soccer league/national team. I also find the menus much easier to navigate with the EA games than this one. (Maybe that is because I have played EA games all my life.)

This game will have the superior gameplay, but inferior team/league licenses.

I'd imagine a FIFA-branded game is going to be more "official" than one that isn't. I'd like more team selection too, but I'm fired up about the game play. I watched some sample FIFA 08 vids and didn't groove to it like PES.

Does anyone know if PES has the ability to update the squads like FIFA06/08? That is kind of deal breaker if it doesn't....even if it is better looking.:D

OK, I got my copy. I'm still learning the ins and outs, but am happy to report that Bayern Munich beat Newcastle 3-2 in ET, and sad to report that Mexico lost to Brazil 0-2 in regulation.

No MLS teams, apparently, unless I am just overlooking them.

The game play is so exciting that I'm not so hung up on team selection itself, but give me some time and I'll be jaded and bitter. ;)
