Does anyone know the full extent of the project?

Looks like they're adding 'palcos' but they're supposed to eliminate the olympic track with more seating, and replace the artificial turf right? And give the stadiums exterior a new facade?

they took the olympic track out to dig deeper to be able to come up with some extra room, and yea the Palcos are being added here are some earlier shots:

Probably the best change is the return of the natural grass.

    Yep, that's what worries me.

I hope they get rid of it, but if they intend on using the Stadium as the main facility for the Panamerican games, then I imagine they are going to keep it?

EDIT: I found this diagram and it says the track will be reduced to just 2 lanes. WTF is the point of that?

    however,

I agree, that stadium looks dull.... yawn.. and it cost over 1 billion dollars??! Reliant Stadium is 10x a better stadium and it cost a fraction of that.

    Red Bull arena lol

But if we're talking remodeled stadiums, the only one that can hang with el Nacional is the future Robertson Stadium where the mighty Houston Cougars play

    http://www.worldinteriordesignnetwo...dium_and_hofheinz_pavilion_renovation_100621/

    :D

Yup, Reliant was 700 million AND it has a retractable roof. Even the new Cowboy stadium cost less and it also has a retractable roof.

Maybe it's the more unionized construction jobs in the northeast. If that's the case then it's ok.
