I'm playing FM12 and this kid named Victor Manon is lighting it up in U20 WC for me. What happened to him for reals? Also, what happened to Alberto Ramirez?

    Just curious.

What time is the game? The guide is not listing it and telemundo's mobile site is useless.

I remember Mañon. He was the big guy who played for the U17 in a World Cup a few years ago, the one where we were eliminated by South Korea, IIRC. I wasn't too impressed by him. He wasn't even a starter for that team.

Remember when he was rumored to go to Deportivo la Coruña? Then Atlas fans started hating him, sucked in Copa America (along with everyone else), and eventually was transferred to Tigres where he is a standout on the bench.

Ya I remember going seeing him live against the Red bulls, and the fans went nuts when he was subbed in. He actually scored few minutes later. I thought he'd be on the gold cup roster, but just was never heard about again...

I googled his name and he was the captain of the U-17 in the 2003 world cup in Finland, I remembered him but not his name, he was very good back then as a 17 year old, I also though he was gonna become something but in the end nothing maybe the fact that he was with Tecos hurt him, Jonathan Orozco was in that team according to FIFA.com I totally forgot about him being there.

    Nuevos Valores de Occidente (lol)

Projecto Tecamachalco (sounds like a paisa reality show)

Union de Curtidores (googles curtidores, wtf not even futbol related)

Langostineros de Atoyac,Sultanes de Tamazunchale,Originales Aguacateros de Uruapan,Peces Blancos de Patzcuaro,Cobijeros de Chiconcuac,Corsarios de Campeche,

^^^these last ones made me specially lol.....why does it sound like they all play at some fukin temple or they were yanked out of the past.

Union de Curtidores actually have some history, but names likes Lagartos, Corsarios, Jaguares, Venados, and shit like that piss me off way too gringofied just keep it simple the name of the town and thats facking it, keep it to names of towns or cities not states like they did with chiapas and dorados.

Dorados not the official name though, just their nickname, like Chivas and Aguilas del America are known with their nicknames even though the real name of Chivas is Club Deportivo Guadalajara. I don't understand how its gringofied if they have been using these names since before some of those NFL teams existed, at least in Chivas case. From the little I know the Dorado is a fish you can find all along the pacific coast, much like Pez Vela, Marlin, Atun and other fish so they have every right to use those names and it makes sense to use them. Unlike, say LA teams that are called Dodgers, Clippers and Lakers which have no relation to the town.

There is a history of already using nicknames from the region with the beisbol leagues, tomateros, tequileros...And it sounds alot nicer than calling them Tilapias/Narcos/Chapos de Sinaloa:D

Gabacho influence, I guess. They are the only ones who name their teams after animals.

my issue with dorados is that they changed their name from Culiacan to Sinaloa, and I never criticized neither America or chivas, my issue is against teams like Patriotas de Cordova, Bravos de Nuevo Laredo and shit like that.

So on an interview with Picante, Nery says he ask Aguirre not to take him to the WC in 2010 because he knew he was not fit or did not feel well enough to compete at that level. So perhaps now the truth comes along, Aguirre may have afterall been holding that last camp spot for nery. If you guys remember, he was going to call an X amount of players into camp (can't remember the number), but when the lsit came out it was one short. Well perhaps it was for Nery.

Carillo admitted that he was 99% sure that they were going to call Nery for the WC before he declined.
