Who do you think is better. I think Pele is the Greatest Of All Time for now, but I just wanted to see how they will compare.
Messi is the best in the world today, and I reckon he is on the same level as Pele, Maradona, Cruyff, Ronaldo 9 and Zidane, but he is not better than Pele in my opinion.
In my opinion you can't compare players from two completely different eras. Football is a lot different nowadays and I haven't seen so many matches with Pele (actually only some random footage I guess).
Pele is the Greatest Of All Time, and their will never be someone better than Pele. Messi can become the 2nd greatest ever, but their will never be someone better than Pele. 1. Pele 2. Maradona 3. Ronaldo 9 (Maybe Messi or Neymar in 15 years) then come the rest such as Cruyff, Platini, Zico, Garrincha, Zidane, Ronaldinho and Messi. The only player that probaly had a chance to become better than Pele was Ronaldo, he was phenomenal before he got injured.
Im talking about the Brazilian Ronaldo that use to play back in the late 90 to early 2000s. He was unstoppable in his prime, especially before his injuries.
Ok Men! Ronaldo was great, but we are talking globally! Ronaldo was enormous with FC Barcelona and when he was playing with Real Madrid. But Everything Messi has won in 24 years, No one has succeeded. I'm sorry for my english. I'm from Spain.
Messi is a very good player right now. I do not see any comparsion with Messi to any other out there. But to compare messi with the best players of all time Messi does not measure up. He in my opinion is not even the best player of the 21st century that goes to Zidane.
Agreed! 3 CL titles and still only 24. People keep harping about his World Cup record, but he's 0-for-1. Give him time.
If you count the 2005/6 champs league in messi's favour you should count the 2006 world cup as a failiure, so 0-for-2.
