Glad Garey found a home. He was a beast in college, but like many other slow-ish college goalscoring studs, that success didn't translate to the vastly more athletic MLS.

I think he'd actually do well in a slower paced league, but he'll never end up there now that he's down in the NASL.

You guys forgot about Abe, his day wasn't quite as good though.

Edmonton wound up winning 1:0 with 10 Men.

Costly is still w/o a club. There has been a ton of rumors out there of teams he's been in talks with, too many to list. But they all turn out to be just that... rumors.

I wouldn't mind seeing him back w/ Houston if he's willing to take a reasonable salary. Still think he could be dangerous and would obviously pair well with OBG.

My favorite person to provide updates on... our historical first ever Designated Player, none other than Luis Angel Landin. He finds himself out of Puebla, into Queretaro.

So he claims that the rumor that he's asking $100K is fabricated... he wants less than $100K? If so, dump Weaver at the nearest Goodwil donation center and get Costly for Weaver's salary!

It would be nice huh. Unfortunately, since he is guaranteed unless you find a taker for Weaver that doesn't make us pay part of his salary - we are out of luck on that swap. :(

    QUIERO HOMBRES, NO NOMBRES.

Honduras Marathon coach "el primi" Maradiaga:

Costly is about to join Marathon. However, el primi wants Costly the player, not Costly the figure. He does not want [arrogant?] attitudes that are not going to contribute to the team. He does not want Costly dressed in his star suit, he wants the futbolista. From El Heraldo

Incidentally, I always liked Maradiaga's nickname. Quite appropriate!

COSTLY DOESN'T HAVE A TEAM YET
    Link
El primi Maradiaga is not getting Costly after all. Marathon of Honduras is not signing Costly because the player has more attractive offers from other countries. Costly can't say where the offers are from, could be from China, could be from Eastern Europe, but he ain't saying. The problem with the Chinese is that they don't formalize the transfer documents.

"I'm only asking for what I am worth, not more. It's been said that I'm asking for USD$30K per month and USD$100K to sign, those are lies"

Costly complains that some Honduran journalists don't like him and try to hurt his image. He confesses that not having played for a team in a while is taking a toll on his game.

Sometimes one has to swallow their pride, look at themself in the mirror, and realize how much one is actually worth. He overvalued himself, that's not his error but a human one.

His agent probably didn't help the situation. Kinda like the Felix story...so much potential gone to waste.

Rico is allegedly on the trading block. Curious to see if he stays at Staebek (sp?) or what.

I'm confused-so Costly's not human? He's an alien? Well I guess in this country he would be an alien but that's besides the point.

I meant it isn't only a mistake he has committed, but one that others make as well. It's a human error not just an individual's error.

Just for grins, in the event that he returns to MLS, would we still retain his rights, or does he have to go through some allocation or whatever process?
