After watching the Overtime period in San Diego last night, I will be formally requesting that the PASL fly in experienced referees from a neutral city for the Championship tournament. I will not say the refs were biased toward San Diego, but the number of times out of bounds calls were called "intentional over the glass" leads me to believe that we need truly impartial and better qualified officials for the finals. The last thing anyone outside of San Diego needs is a referee who will even unwittingly "lean to one side" in a Championship game. The fact that local refs were used during a playoff game is a "professional standards issue" that needs to be addressed in the off season.
I thought the defining rule for "intentional out of play" was if the Ball doesn't touch person, boards or grass its considered "intentional" Actually, I don't see any reference to this rule in the PASL rulebook I downloaded
It's there. It also says something about not penalizing good defense. So there's still referee discretion involved. I don't even see the point of the rule, especially with many teams having no side glass. All it does it give teams superfluous cheap scoring opportunities.
It kinda funny. Nobody can really comment on this topic unless you live in one of the cities or pay to watch. Think how many more people would have watched these playoff games had they been free!
Do you seriously have to pay to watch the pasl online? Ur joking right? People don't even pay to watch them LIVE for crying out loud
Seriously it is $8 a game I believe. I would watch the playoffs if it was free but pay $8 to watch = I guess I won't see them.
what I want to know is how many people are buying the single games at $8 each , PASL tickets are about $8 - $12 each for the cheat seats so why not just go to the game I am sure the feeds are just as bad as the MISL feeds
I'll probably pay for the PASL championship game. I would attend in person, but it's over 2000 miles away. 3
The Waza vs. Sidekicks would be good I like Mariano and the Flash but The best game would be Waza vs. Sockers or a Sidekicks vs. Sockers game
the quality of the away Sidekick games has been bad. I even got a refund on one...I think it was in Beaumont. Here is one thing I have noticed(over 4 purchases-one refund)....it doesnt freeze or skip...not even once. I did get one other game, a home game and it was great but it was PA announcer only. It was against the Mustangs I think. All in all, the quality of play, the announcers, the look of the feeds are all way better at Unation. The main issue I see with Unation is the freezing. I would never, ever, ever pay $8 to watch any other team in the PASL.
Wow Dallas just got knocked out by RGV. What a shocker. San Diego vs Las Vegas Detroit vs Rio Grande Valley
The final is on a MONDAY? WHAT????? Was this the original date? Nice crowd expected for a Las Vegas / Detroit tilt if it happens I bet.
Per Facebook Tonight's US Open Championship between Detroit and San Diego will be webcast for free at 7:35 EST
If it ends up anything but Sockers vs RGV or Detroit attendance will be nothing no matter what day its held on.
Thursday night's game was the worst game of the season. I can't put it any plainer than that. It's not just for the bad play, but also for the fact that they knew from only four days earlier that RGV could play with them if they let 'em. And they let 'em.
Wow I just got back from both games. Both ended 6-5 in overtime. Sockers/Waza is going to be awesome.
Go Waza. They are my second favorite PASL team. They showed a lot of class against my Rockford Rampage. Great job Coach Dominic!!! GO WAZA!!!
