So I'd read somewhere that Rob Lowe had really weird, Bieber-like hair in the first few episode of the season because of a Lifetime movie he was shooting at the same time. I'm guessing this is it?
Since I teach a class on the UN, which leads to advising a subset of those students preparing for the National Model UN conference, you can bet that Andy trading Finland's military for several lions from Kenya was my top moment.
Did anybody like Paul Rudd's character? I thought he was too stupid and it really turned me off the reality I thought it was a bad job and it's worrying if he's going to be such a part of the show now.
The only problem for me is maybe the type-casting of Paul Rudd. He's made a career out of that character -- but then again, he's pretty damn good at it. So, I actually liked him. And I think he'll only be in for several episodes, but that's a complete guess. Andy however was outstanding. I'm a sucker for quality slapstick. And that was almost Fawlty Towers level pratfalling (Chris Pratt!!). The hammer/wall, the ball/sign, the ambulance. Wow. Plus the eye-test -- "...M, potato shape, 4, coffee mug, smudge, smudge, smudge..." I've not seen every episode this season, but it is such a quality show. "I painted your garage pink!" "I did not ask you to do that."
Rudd made a career about playing a character THIS stupid? I don't agree at all. And I thought the episode was great. Andy was awesome and the ads where good and it was going well until the final scene. I was looking forward when I see them at dinner and then Rudd to me does the character too stupid and ruins his character for me.
I also see it could be a mistake when Chris Pratt does a similar character so well. By they way I love Modern Family but Chris Pratt and Nick Offerman deserve emmys nominations and not that show to hoard all of them.
True, but some of that was an in-joke to Wet Hot American Summer. Maybe it was a little too meta, but that's a high risk, high reward for people who know the history of Poehler and Rudd. I think the past few episodes have been absolutely spectacular. Mike Schur and Co. are on fire.
totally! also, is it just me or has adam scott been suffering from a cold the past couple of episodes? sounds congested.
I had my annual eye exam yesterday and tossed in a "smudge, coffee mug" into the reading of the smallest line. Turns out the doc does not watch the show, but I amused myself enough for the both of us.
I was mad you posted this last night. I was ready to post the same quote after watching the episode for the third time.
Hey, so in the episode where Andy is going to all the doctors, what happened to April's mouth? Was that explained, or did she suddenly just have a dental operation?
Rob Lowe killed last night. Really enjoyed the episode, and a Ron Swanson giddy laugh is always welcome.
I'll add that Tom was well used last night. I can't remember the exact line but when he tells Chris, "this kind of sounds like music from the end of movie about a monk that kills himself," was great, and his "nooooooo" at the end was possibly my favorite moment of the episode.
Ron: "Thank you all for being here. Let's get started." Leslie: "Wow... great attitude, Ron." Ron: "Sorry, I was talking to these ribs."
Yes. My friend asked me, " Whats Park and Recreation about?" I sent her this picture. She replied... " perfect..."
