I know he's of Greek ancestry, but he predicted like 2-0 Greece over Korea (of course the actual result was reverse), and had us losing to Nigeria. Everytime Roberto Martinez was raving about Korea and talking highly of LCY and KSY, Lalas would just be shaking his head.

WC draw, all he talked about was Russia and Belgium in our group and zero mention of Korea.

I actually feel so bad for Ballack. Whenever Ballack (or previously Martinez) would make an insightful comment, Lalas would cut in aggressively and make a blatantly ignorant and or asinine remark. It was like watching a conversation with a loud idiot and a respectful scholar.

 

Lalas isn't racist. He's just clueless when it comes to Asian football.
