He was just talking about how he went to eat bosintang with HMB. Lalas thought he was sharing a funny/interesting anecdote but it was just awkward, which is how Lalas is all the time.
I know he's of Greek ancestry, but he predicted like 2-0 Greece over Korea (of course the actual result was reverse), and had us losing to Nigeria. Everytime Roberto Martinez was raving about Korea and talking highly of LCY and KSY, Lalas would just be shaking his head. WC draw, all he talked about was Russia and Belgium in our group and zero mention of Korea.
similar to all other pundits outside of Asia? call him ignorant or foolish, but doubt he is anti-Korean football. he doesn't care nor know much about Korean football to be one.
He's simply infuriating to watch. Which makes Ballack's presence that much more entertaining. *edit: Shaka Hislop is pretty much the only pundit on ESPN that knows Korean football.
not just his ignorant / blatantly racist comments about Korea, which infuriate me just as much as it does every one else, but also his sheer stupidity / insensitivity about every thing else Why espn employ this guy and how ballack and martinez put up with him, who knows
shit defender too.... How much I loved it when we thumped his beloved Greece at WC2010…he must have gone home crying to mummy
I must be in the minority then. Thought Ballack was a robot. And pundits in America are supposed to clash and say outrageous things.
you guys are a case in point in why lalas has a job. beck, limbaugh, bayless.. now stfu and let's park ju-young.
I actually feel so bad for Ballack. Whenever Ballack (or previously Martinez) would make an insightful comment, Lalas would cut in aggressively and make a blatantly ignorant and or asinine remark. It was like watching a conversation with a loud idiot and a respectful scholar.
