On the one hand, going to relegation candidate even in a league like la liga is not that exciting. But DAMN this club is excited. So nice to see PCY getting some love.
I checked the players and their bios. I would say half of them came out of Celta's academy and the rest are from mid- to lower level La Liga teams. One guy came out of La Masia and that's about it. PCY has an impressive pedigree in comparison.
Now that's a shitty font. Finally. Glad this happened and that it's a loan move so he won't be stuck there if they're relegated.
He better get too much playing time in this team. Hope he gets himself fit soon. This club really needs him. Btw, I like the colors. Its just that I don't like the shape of the jersey and the terrible, terrible sponsor logos. Shivers. PJY looks happy. Its great that the fans turned out to see him at his presentation. It wasn't even planned ahead of time so a bunch of people probably showed up on short notice.
Since PJY isn't in the EPL and can't play against arse, the best we can hope for is that he completely outclasses and outproduces Giroud and Podolski, to the point where wenger looks like the complete fool that he is.
Forgot about him. There's also one other player who was with Chelsea, but only for one season. Celta also just signed a guy who spent one season at St. Etienne while PCY was at Monaco. Maybe they'll bond.
I've heard their uniform is actually filled with names of the official club supporters. Pretty class.
The guy who spent a year with chelsea is de Lucas iirc. He is their right sided am who also happens to be 34....
I don't know where the tweeter got these quotes, but here ya go anyway: https://twitter.com/GoonerTalk/status/241583040143433730 https://twitter.com/GoonerTalk/status/241583580441108480 Edit: From here http://www.noticiascelta.com/2012/0...la.html?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=twitter
I'm ecstatic to see PCY make his way onto a new chapter in his footballing career. I really hope he pulls a KJC and keeps this team in La Liga to help him gain cult status. I'm a little sad that he's not playing in the EPL for the same reason most of you are (harder to catch his games) but if this paves the way for more Korean's into La Liga I'm all for it. Also considering we have some amazing youth players currently playing for some great academies I really like this move for PCY.
Park must be one of many Koreans overseas who're pissed at all ppl around him that can't pronounce his Korean name properly. Suddenly, ju became a chu, then ppl or team mates goes, 'hey, Chu!' or 'sign mon jersey, Chu' and park goes to London and becomes ju once more and ppl with go ' hey ju' 'you're ju?' and now goes to Spain and becomes chu again. At least if he went with ju, and Spainish would go 'parku u yong' or 'you yong pak' Us Koreans, can't win this battle. Although I really appreciate Derek Rae of ESPN and Martin Tyler of skysports and extra effort to pronounce our player correctly.
Wow he did have a big showing of support! Nice to see for him. His confidence/determination is probably on a high right now.
This is just hopeful thinking on my part but I hope he plays tomorrow and makes a statement before joining the national team. However, he probably hasn't trained for a whole month and is not fit. Also, he should score 10+ goals barring injuries if he starts nearly every game and the team provides at least a chance per game. At Monaco, the team would usually provide 0 chance per game and he would score at least 1 out of 2 chances that came his way, whether he made it himself or someone else did.
