African players miss more than that since African cup is held every two years. Besides, PJY missed just 2 games due to Asian Games and would have missed a maximum of 3 games for Asian Cup.

PJY should be banned from NT. He demoralizes the rest by making mockery out of those who sacrifice.

Park JY was arrested at a remote location in France yesterday by Interpol and was subsequently taken into Korean authority's custody.

Actually an unregistered poster on a Korean site uploaded the picture with the title "입대를 미루던 주영, 결국은".

That was hilarious but I could not translate the nuance and the subtlety of it.

laborday... you're a lil obsessed with PJY no?

It's not a big deal. Why?

    1. Monaco is on the brink of relegation. They NEED Park.
    2. Gives our next generation a chance to play. If Ji Dong Won and Yoo Byung Soo improves a lot within the next four years, we might see PCY on the bench in Brazil...
    3. PCY is tired. He's been playing non stop from the World Cup to now and did a lot of traveling internationally.

I think our man deserves a break. Our Asian Cup campaign will be fine without him.

Finally! Some common sense, rationality and perspective re: PCY...

Besides, he can't get military exemption from winning AC. Might as well "stick it to the ol man".

Thanks to statQuo's update... for those not following NT thread... Lacombe is out. I guess all those tears of joy when PCY scored were wasted.

I'm really curious to see how this all pans out now. I don't expect much better since the squad is so talentless. But does MBo get another shot... and if so is PCY going to have to pretend to be a winger again?

Laurent Banide is the new manager.
He has managed Monaco before and has only managed in West Asia since.

    Aha. Laborday got redcarded...

Anyway, repeating what I had on the Jung Jo Gook thread, PCY is out... and so is MBokani so I guess even a change of manager isn't enough for MBokani to play or probably more accurately, Monaco to risk a huge sale.

Park Chu Young should of transferred out of Monaco at the start of the season. Monaco is pretty bad, I've watched their games. They seem to go for a draw every game. Quite boring.

PCY wanted out. Lacombe played chicken trying to get 10m for PCY and lost. Thus he has no job.

One thing for sure, we do not miss Mr. Park Chu Young. That injury was a blessing is disguise for Ji Dong Won and hopefully soon Yoo Byung Soo.

I don't think its laborday so far... I think he was pro PCY instead of anti. Unless this is something older

    I miss PJY....
Regardless of how good JDW and KJC has been, I still think PJY is the most talented at the CF and SS spots in almost every aspect..... But that's the fanboy in me talking. Don't kill me! :)

The best case scenario would be PCY making a full recovery when we're @ the knockout stage. Group stage gave us time to experiment with Koo/Ji, and having Park back by KO stages the team would be even more refined.

Hope he learned his lesson & gives up the kneeling ceremony.

Can you add players to your squad during the tournament??
I wish he would just learn to do a backflip and tribute that to god or something. there are better ways to make a tribute to god than putting your hands together and closing your eyes for 2 seconds :)

Of course we can add him. Just secretly put Yeom onto a plane back to Korea and bring Park into the squad and say that he is Yeom.

How are we going to make him look like he has down syndrome? We'll have to repeatedly beat his face for a straight whole day to do that. It might actually make him retarded by that point.

Park Chu young has a reported IQ of 150. Beating his face will only make him average.
