AS Monaco after their recent victory. Park with a little French at 1.10.

Park Ju-Young just had a very nice run and assist for Leko against Lyon!! 1-0 to Monaco, against the run of play!

yes, it was a good run to the left side of goal and then a good pull back into the box by Park Ju-young for Leko to slot it in.

just to clarify, its an away game for Monaco against Lyon. On paper Lyon should win this.

    near end of 1st half:

    OL 0-1 Monaco.

During half time break, Canal+ TV (French) did a very good analysis of the Monaco goal, using a combination of video and animation.

Park Ju-young infact got the ball from the half way line, made the pass to MF, and ran all the way to the left side of goal, controlled the ball nicely and then pulled the ball back btw two defenders on to Leko.

very good play, from start to end.

anyone who upload or find a link to that 'analysis of goal' from Canal+ TV deserves kudos, because for one thing its a nice video+animation analysis in its own right, and its also a good illustration of what Park Ju-young is doing for Monaco.

15min into 2nd half and Monaco is still going for that 2nd goal.

interesting that they decided to keep attacking, but a good decision IMO.

both side had couple of good chances, and it still an open game.

    Cris 65min

    Pino 66min

This is quite a good match, not just because of the number of goals, but in general as well.

Park Ju-young should have been awarded a freekick just outside the right side of the box.

Monaco is currently undersiege. Park Ju-young amonst the defenders defending in the box, heads a ball that was loping in.

A lot of people have been wasting a lot of time worrying about what kind of player they want Park Ju-young to be, rather than appreciating him for who he already is and what he has done so far for Monaco this season.

People tend to think scoring 10+ goals is easy as long as you start every game, but considering the fact that he's playing for a mid-table club like Monaco that's still trying to find its identity, he's right on pace in developing his game. Scoring goals for fun and putting his name on the top scorers' chart wasn't a realistic goal in the first place. And quite frankly, Ligue 1 is a very, very good league.

Every time he was available to play, he started every game and played a key role for Monaco. The fact that he started all 24 games and played 60+ minutes in all those games is just as important as scoring goals at this stage in his career. And just like his team, he's still at a stage where he's looking for his own individual identity as a player.

That means he can either develop into a fine-tuned playmaker and a supporting striker which he was for the KNT against North Korea earlier this month, or he can develop into a 15+ goals per season type of goalscorer with ice-cold finishing skills which he was for FC Seoul in his first year with the team.

His 3 goals and 6 assists while being right in middle of the team's rebuilding process will pay off in a season or two once both he (as well as his team) finds his identity as a player.

    Sky great post agan

Pak Juyung was MOTM aganst N Korea IMO, he showed pass game beter than I ever seen him b4

I'm hope he become striker becase he's our only naturl finisher, but he's not standard striker, he doesnt get separaton used speed burst, he made space from D used good footwork and smooth and exploit gaps

I think he's gona be combo player, guy whose pass nice and when theirs hole in D he's jump in and finish, but he's not gonna create his own chans or beet guy to loos ball score junk gol
