That's only because Watford used a loophole in the Championship rules to loan tons of Udinese and Granada players. Now that loophole's gone, the team performs badly. Not a surprise.
i'm happy for the move but a tiny part of me is wondering if him at least practicing with world class players might be more beneficial for the KNT than always playing with scrubs..
watford's newly appointed manager is giuseppe sannino. this is his 4th club since 2011.. first time in england. those are some red flags..
No, it's a far worse team than that. At that time, they had a few decent players from La Liga and Serie A. They don't anymore.
The pacey 28yr old. Here we go with that damn Asian stereotype. --------- Edit : but thank you for throwing park a bone.
He has decent speed for a CF no? Maybe not Premier League winger pacey...you can hardly blame Watford PR though, they probably had to rely on YouTube clips here and there.
In any case...not much point in debating whether PJY is qualified to run track and field for a high school varsity team.
Doesn't even matter what his 100m is. 100 meters is almost the entire length of the pitch. Dumb way to judge speed in football.
I've mentioned this before, leading up to our first World Cup game against Mexico, our own comedian lee kyungkyu did a short interview(in his tv program) with a member of Mexican media and asked a simple question about our national team. Mexican media person replied 'Korea is fast and with players dangerous' Didn't studied enough to name any of our players who maybe 'dangerous'. But quickly, jumped to say that Korea is fast. I interpreted that as 'Korea is just fast and nothing else' and it's been stuck with us ever since. Everyone quick to jump that Korean or Asian players are just fast or pacey in this case. Mention about park's ability to finish using both feet, skillful freekicks taker, flare for big moments, can score from outside of the box etc etc.but no, the pacey 28 yr old.
More than half of K-League players run below 12 secs, I'm pretty sure. I use to run low 12s in my high school years and I'm pretty damn sure PCY at his top speed can beat me easily in a 100 meter run.
I was saying he wasn't 'pacey' with his 100m time, not defining that 100m time was crucial in football. Understood? I don't think so. Their speed you see are short burst runs, which is quite different from 100m, where acceleration isn't the only factor. For example, Lee Chung-Yong's 100m record was 13s. Low 12s is quite an impressive time for an average person.
