I remember reading (don't quote me on it) that PJS extended his contract with QPR in order for him to go to PSV. Otherwise his contract would have ended at the end of this season, and QPR didn't want to let him go for free. In any case, he's still under contract with QPR.
Gotta get another year of air Asia money. I imagine if he's capable to play he'll find somewhere else if qpr isn't promoted. Prob just stating fact of PJS contractual situation.
PJS + Hiddink got to meet the dutch king+queen and the Korean president for lunch today. http://www.psv.nl/Nieuws/Nieuwspagina/Zeer-bijzondere-dag-voor-JiSung-Park.htm
His daddy may have expensive tastes. More seriously, if money were not an issue, he woulda been playing for PSV a lot earlier. Enough money for you and I may not be what PJS wants
Yeah, I figured daddy hitting up the RS and/or casion every night would be the only thing PJS has to worry about. Just my opinion but I think him trying to stick it out in the EPL had more to do with pride than finances. Oil leagues/CSL would have busted a huge nut for him on the flip side of your argument.
I meant the beginning of this season when his loan was held up over his salary. Not his signing with qpr in the first place. He was trying to max out finances within some bounds of footballing quality
Marketing is going to be more important than club salary. Playing in EPL matches gives better coverage and relevance.
PSV is currently trying to convince him and negatiates with QPR for another year. Hiddinks has opted for a Ryan Giggs role for Park Ji-Sung in Voetbal International, so that PSV will only use him in important matches. That might be a way to convince him to continue his carreer for another year. There has been a large Ji-Sung Park item in Voetbal International, the most popular football magazine in the Netherlands that sees him as the major reason for the recovery of PSV Eindhoven this year. Hiddink is currently twice a week at PSV Eindhoven, talking to players and giving them tactical information based on video material. He will do this until the end of the season when he will become the new coach of the Dutch NT. Since Hiddink has returned, PSV has won 8 matches in a row. Hiddink and Park, the saviors of PSV I would not be suprised if PSV fans will bag him to stay another year, in a similar fashion as what happened to Mark van Bommel last year.
The article which sheds light on why no WC given that he needs so much recuperation between matches. http://www.telegraaf.nl/telesport/voetbal/psv/22421615/__Park___Wie_is_Aad_de_Mos____.html
Hmm so basically it was a choice between one last WC or one more club season and he chose the latter?
No, he can't play WC at all period in his shape. I think he's saying with a summer of rest that he'd be able to have one more year because its apparently well known that he can barely survive right now.
Has anyone heard anything on why he was subbed off at the half? he wasn't having his best game ever, but I didn't it was THAT bad.
