Definitely. He would as well, since the next one or two years is going to be his last shot at the big European stage. His type of play is very reliant on the player's speed, agility, and fitness, and we've seen that decline quite fast due to his age. Really excited by this move. :D.

Wouldn't say for sure. Two years ago, APOEL managed to get to the quarter finals with a dismally small budget even in comparison to the current PSV budget.

He's looked really really slow for QPR. And pretty sloppy too.
He's hardly looked like the super workhorse at QPR that he was let alone that of a 24 year old.

But my point is that the younger guys here should enjoy PJS at PSV as is rather than any reflection on what he was like back in the day because he's pretty creaky at this point.

Do not forget the Dutch league has a slower pace.

Indeed. Which is why I'm hopeful that PJS will be a very good contributor even if he's not super stud material.

Not to forget that he can play in any position apart from CB and GK.

    EDIT: Probably not CF too.

What a great news! PJS at PSV was the first KPA I started following. It was so much harder to find a stream back then. But there were only two to follow really - PJS and SKH.

I'm down for a BSK group order of shirts. I'll distribute for those in the Bay Area.

Here in the Yay (Oakland to be precise), but I'll probably pass on a shirt. Would have been down to see LYP in San Jose on 9/14, but I'll be out of town that weekend.

i just realized KI.S.Y isn't so weird. PJS had J.S.PARK on his shirts for most of his career besides a season or two with united when his name was formatted with a space (J.S. PARK). i think because ki is only two letters, it looks worse.

I've just pretended to purchase a kit from the PSV store. It seems like you can purchase the kit? I've got to the point where I need to input my CC number etc.

i have psv online store account. and just checked out their prices for their home shirt with park printing.

it says its on sale price of 95 euros. but after putting on the cart, it shows a price of 105 euros. and they have only one shipping method to Verenigde Staten( that's Dutch for United States of America). a so called standard shipping add another 15 euros.

so, one jersey shipped to verenigde staten cost a total of 120 euros. do the euros to dollar conversion.

it will cost a whopping 160 american dollars.

anyone up for it ? i am. count me in as one of those will group buying Park's jersey

If I get it I would probably frame it. Don't see myself wearing a kit in public.

Loving the group buy talk. Other option would be SubsideSports. They had Son HSV stuff in the past.

i went out of my way to send an email to their online fan store

    fanstoreonline@psv.nl

and ask for discount of 10 jerseys of park printing when he gets a number. 10 home jerseys to stateside. we'll see what happens.

    http://www.subsidesports.com/us/lea...-jersey-2013-2014-wijnaldum-10-fan-style.html

subsidesports has printed jerseys for $105 plus shipping (for my zip code it was $12.99). that's if they stock up on PJS jerseys. these seem to be "fan-style printing" and not official:
    edit.
also, fyi, there's a pretty large freo sponsorship on the back of the jersey. a lot of the retailers don't seem to show the complete backside of the jersey.

Fan style means same font and look, but not team issue printing.

Question about back sponsorship is a valid one. We would have to ask.
