for me right now Id say LCY goals, Park Ji Sung goals, PJY goals.

I think his english is fine too considering he was probably learning before with an American accent (most Koreans do) than to be introduced to the United Kingdom's version thats gotta be confusing.

to me he sounds almost French.

I agree haha even with LCY and PJY scoring goals every week, nothing beats a PJS goal or assist.

Also, his English is good considering its only been like 5 years. He's better than a lot of Korean adults I've met who've been in America for 10+ years.

    really enjoyed the game today.

Good match by ManU, in particular Rooney, Nani, ParK Ji-sung and Carrick.

Had Arshavin converted one of his chances it could have been different.

Park Ji-sung back to his big game performance level today. Ronaldo, Rooney, Park Ji-sung with Evra behind Park Ji-sung has been a cominbation that worked very well in past seasons. If Nani continues to perfrom like he did today then a new 3 top combo of Nani, Rooney and Park Ji-sung could be a regular thing.

Park Ji-sung covered defensively in the middle when needed, linked up with Rooney well, drew players away from Rooney(and others like Scholes), started the counter on the 2nd goal and ran full pelt the length of the pitch along with Rooney and Nani so that Arsenal players got dragged off Rooney, and his goal was just icing on the cake....he ran with the ball for half the length and took a shot, and a good well aimed shot as well, to score, instead of laying it off to Rooney or someone else.

he saw he had space and went for it. and im glad he took it and got it. should be good for his confidence and that chalk mark on the board should make it easier for Ferguson to start him again.

It could have been two goals: for the first goal, if Almunia hadnt got a touch on the ball (only to end up tapping it in to his onw net) Park Ji-sung had ran into position by the far post to tap it in himself.

2nd goal....lovely counter attack....Park Ji-sung to Rooney, Rooney to Nani and all three pelting it down...9.2sec.....like in the CL Semis @ the Emirates earlier last year.

3rd goal....what can i say....a good run and a good finish. Love to see him score another one soon, build up some momentum and confidence allowing him to take more risks and go forward more.

Wow, Park scores first goal of the season and you are ready to include him as one of the TOP 3 COMBO in the team.

Don't really watch the Premiership but today's performance was hands down, one of the better Manchester United's display in quite a bit. In that respect, I don't think including Park in a the team's top 3 up front deserves mockery.

I'd be happier if he gets more consistent playing time from now on.

It was definitely one of the better performances, but that's going a bit too far. Against Birmingham Park wasn't so hot. I'd say wait this out a bit. At the moment, my top 3 would be Rooney, Valencia, and Giggs. However, if Nani continues his insane form, and Park consistent plays like this--looking dangerous in the final 3rd (doesn't exactly means he has to score), we could see a new trio.

But again, I'd say wait this out. Right now is way too soon to say anything.

I only caught the first 1/2 & thought PJS was average at best. More along mediocre. Looking forward to the goal highlight. Hoping he just gets more PT.

Better yet, read what myself and others have said, then you should study it and meditate upon it and learn the error of your way. Perhaps then and only then you may reach that enlightenment state I like to call COMMON SENSE.

I think there might be a misunderstanding here:

"If Nani continues to perform like he did today then a new 3 top combo of Nani, Rooney and Park Ji-sung could be a regular thing"

Three-top (tactical) vs. top three (ranking)?

    Could be just me, though.

was happy to hear about his goal today but Im of the same opinion. need a few more good games under his belt.

not to take anything away from the goal he scored but wth was Arsenal doing during that drive? Nobody played the damn ball which is something that is seared into all professional ballers early on. You have to. And yet this professional backline of Arsenals which isnt too shabby to say the least gave him that lane all the way through. Albeit, Park is supposed to be nutz to against when is going for the throat like that. They were really not thinking that he was actually going to shoot that shot.

And Birm. City isnt a defense to be shatted upon. No namers but really well organized bunch who dont take anyone for granted.

pleased that he took such a great shot though. SAF wouldve turned deep red if he hadnt seeing how Rooney and Nani were fairly wide open.

Yes, one that proposes Park along with Rooney and Nani to be the new 3 up top combo.

He was brilliant today. Not just the goal, but his positioning and timely runs into the box were fantastic as well as his outlet passes on counterattacks.

I'm surprised how no one is talking about his contribution to the second goal. He played the outlet pass in the defensive half and ran all the way down to the edge of Arsenal's box through the left channel, drawing Vermaelen to create space for Rooney to score. That was trademark Park JS stuff. Off-the-ball specialist.

With that being said, he's still far from being fully fit and his work rate is below par for his standards. He needs to get more playing time.

Quite clearly he meant it could be a possible attacking formation for the front three (AKA the top 3) in a 4-3-3 formation that could be used more frequently if it ends up delivering. It's just the same as the rest of the people who go all crazy over striker pairs after seeing it once.

haha yeah, I think Arsenal were kinda expecting him to pass the ball in the end or something. Anyway, good composure by park to tuck it away. To tell you the truth though, I think Almunia should had done better, he got beat near post. But again, Park did have all the time int he world, so it's really 50/50 the way you look at it.

Yeah, he played a big role in the second goal. But that's been the story of his Man Utd career: doing the little things right, doing the hard work...and his more illustrious teammates getting all the credit. i think those of us who watch him play for Korea and have followed his career know he's a much better player than he gets credit for in Manchester.

    oh...anyone seen just a park's touches highlight?

Nanis move is apparently called a Ronaldo Chop or something to that effect.

In that highlight reel, Ive seen LCY do something similar but its more a shift on the fly type juggle that transitions the ball and the movement towards the inside. Its pretty sick because he's hauling ass and does the move so fluidly.
