I can't stand Olympic puff pieces. The other night, they did a thing on the Prime Meridian. I said to the TV, "Come on! Show sports! I don't tune in for this crap!"

Will discussed his column from Sunday about dangers of football.

    http://www.postcrescent.com/article...orge-Will-column-There-s-no-way-make-NFL-safe

Basically, he suggested that parents will start to steer their kids away from playing football as more evidence indicates more health hazards of playing.

Get well, Jeff! We are all counting on you. For what, I have no idea.

Wish I could watch the volleyball.

team Handball - I had the kids play a version of this in PE, they loved it.

This sport would be great in the US.

Manure and Barcelona ... Rooney pk blocked and he misses the follow up.

If it weren't preseason I would suggest he watch out for the odd hairdryer flying in his direction ...

Luis Robles signs with MLS and ends up with the team that he trained with NYRB. Interesting that 9 teams passed on 28 year old keeper with Bundisliga 1&2 experience. Here the Revs are with a 37 year old has been keeper and they had the first shot at him.......Guess they think someone better will come along in the next few weeks

I don't think he has enough games at either Bundesliga levels to be picked up too high in draft.

Revs - if it requires money being spent, they will always side with voting no.
    nsa repped this.

You should call Children's Hospital and start a bidding war. I'll make the call if you want.

I spent Jeff Larentowicz's first three years in MLS constantly calling him "Tim Larentowicz." Who is that? Someone I went to school with

Pretty sure this is going to be our last year in Alabama. This new school regime is not to my liking. Maggie's mom is no longer with us and her sister is moving to Atlanta in less than 2 weeks. Other than her grandfather in Alex City, there is no reason for us to be here anymore.

When deciding to move somewhere, choose Philadelphia! Come for the incredibly high violent crime rate, stay for the fact that it's expensive to live here.

Went to Philly once ... that was enough. Saw the Liberty Bell, went to the old Vet, got yelled at by some corner market store owner, saw Rocky, Rocky II, Rocky II, and Rocky IV. I got my fill of Philly.

Yeah, but you haven't toured some of the best parts of the city like Kensington! Or North Philly! You also haven't experienced the drug trade, either!

    I LOVE Philadelphia!!*

*Note: I also sometimes hate Philadelphia
