The Clausura regular season is coming to a close so I thought I'd put up a thread for transfers and club news such as player injuries, suspensions and the rest.

Wasn't Meza after Bottinelli at some time?

I believe there were rumors about Darío Bottinelli earlier but I don't think we need him, unless 'Chaco' Giménez were sold off to Europe then we could use him.

since tigres wants blas perez back pachuca is after giancarldo maldonado.

in my opinion i think pachuca needs to buy blas perez and get rid of mustafa hes good but they should get aquivaldo mosquera back to pachuca since he doesnt play that much in sevilla

Apparently Calero is being linked with a move to Cruz Azul since they're in the market for a goalkeeper. Calero quickly shot down the rumors though by saying in a televised interview, "yo nací Tuzo y moriré Tuzo!"

I guess also definitively rules out a move to MLS or USL as well. :D

It has been reported in tyc that independiente's number one target is el chaco gimenez... i doubt this would happen

    I doubt it as well.

Usually the only time a player leaves the Mexican league for South America is because he didn't adapt to the MFL, Castromán, Gracián, JC Cáceres and Sebas Domínguez are a few examples of this.

Luckilly since 'Chaco' is a star in Mexico, I doubt Independiente would be able reach his asking price.

    Mosco

The only way this happens is if el chaco feels the need to play in argentina to increase his chances of making the world cup roster

    I don't have a link.

I heard it on TYC sports, they said that for el tolo gallego Gimenez was his #1target.

Makes sense el tolo coached in mexico(tigres, toluca) and knows of el chaco's quality not to mention Gimenez is a former independiente player.

Don't worry to much, Independiente are broke at the moment and are unlikely to put up the $ to make it happen.

Yes but if he played in the Argie league his chances to make the WC roster go up.

I know there is some truth to that but i think Pachuca has really molded him into the player he is, Say he went maybe he would struggle back home. I want to see him retire as a player for Pachuca, He loves to win, hes won 5 titles with us and i think Marodona noticed him because hes not just another player playing in Argentina but he is in another country. Therefore it probably distiguishes him more

    Negative

The mexican league in argie eyes does not hold to much prestige.
Some people say the only reason maradona called gimenez up is because he is used to playing in altitude.

even if thats true thats good for chaco, cause if he plays he can impress Maradona, and then solidify his spot on the roster
