At worst, there will be plenty of Mexican teams to give him a spot. If he wants to stay in Europe, then he's gonna have to go to the lesser leagues and/or have a break out year wherever he goes, because he's been trash this two year stint.

He was Zaragozas most dangerous player at times.... i think your exaggerating a bit (only a bit :speechless: ) . Also it looks like he started earning minutes towards the end of the season which could be a good sign. Although I agree his two year stint wasnt great it wasnt complete trash.

Of course with hindsight being 20/20, a year in the championship with West Ham might have done him good.

It doesn't inspire much confidence if a Championship division team has no plans for you...

Most likely he would have played more minutes than he did with Zaragoza.

Nah, they recently got the Manchester United kid Ravel Morrison who is also a winger.

I think he should've stayed at West Ham, helped the team out like Guardado, if I remember correctly, he was actually getting game time there and even got an assist off a corner before he made the switch to Zaragoza.

And now most likely he'll return to Mexico and West Ham is going back to the Premier.

Like some of you said, he should've stayed at West Ham and played in the Championship. But no, el necio no quiso jugar en 2nda division, despreciando al West Ham por haber decendido despues de que le habrieron las puertas. For sures, he would have gotten a lot of playing time.

At this point he would've been in great form and accustomed to playing in adverse conditions in a 2nd division that is better than alot of 1st divisions worldwide. With his speed, by now he'd be a demon on the right flank for Chepo, IF he had decided to stay in form with the pace of English football.

He's been horrible in the games he's had with the NT. Es un petardo para centrar.

Ahora que se chingue si es que regresa a Mexico, y si tiene la fortuna de que el West Ham lo quiera de regreso que de mil gracias porque la verdad no merece la oportunidad.

I get really upset when players make bad decisions for the betterment of their career. :x3:

Don't matter because Chepo will still start him regardless of what form he's in. I do agree with you though about staying at West Ham to get minutes and get better acclimated to Europe. Now he's just going to return to Mexico with his tail between his legs. Venado 2.0 ftw.

On Chepo, the cynical rumor is that it's because they share an agent. On venado 2.o, it'd be ironic if he does sign with Chivas and takes Venado's old slot.

If he did sign with Chivas he'd just have to learn how to do 20 meaningless step overs before firing a cross into the stands.

How much are they paying? If he ever gets back to his pre europe level, he'd be a steal for anything around 2-3 million

Dollars? I don't believe that because he only went for like 3.5 million dollars in the first place. WH loaned him out for 500K to Zaragoza. I really doubt they would ask for 10 million for a sale.

Some insider said it. It was the reason Chivas pulled out. Then again, maybe Vergara was feeding him the story.:D

René Tovar Rodríguez ‏@Rene_Tovar Mal escrito. Comentaba que Barrera está en cerca de 10 millones de dólares. ¿Quién?
