The second (and much more important) game of the doubleheader on Ssaturday will be the Revs hosting SKC.

No Shalrie (ever again), no Bengtson ... who the hell knows if Moreno is even alive anymore?

I had posted this a couple of weeks ago in another thread, but SKC is in the middle of this stretch...

Starting back in early July, this has been their schedule:
    6/16, TFC 2-0 win
    6/20 @ Seattle, 1-1
    6/23, @ Philly 0-4
    6/26, Dayton 3-0 (USOC)
    6/29, Chicago 0-1
    7/4, @ Montreal 3-1
    7/7 Houston, 0-0
    7/11, @ Philly 2-0 (USOC)
    7/14 @ Crew, 2-0
    7/18 @ Houston, 1-2
    7/21, Revs, 0-0
    7/24, Montpelier (friendly), 0-3
    7/28, Crew, 1-2
    8/1, Stoke (friendly)
    8/4, @ Revs
    8/8, Seattle (USOC Final)
    8/11, DC

What time does parking open for the game?

I believe it's around 1, 3:30 hours before the Milan game.

    Here's the Milan roster.

Oh, I can tell you the reasons:

    (1) KC has been playing like crap lately. Can't score in a brothel.
    (2) Tons of injuries and absences on our side to key players.
    (3) KC just might be focused on the USOC final Wednesday.
    (4) Horrible fixture congestion.

I wouldn't be surprised in the slightest to see a Revs victory.

Riders lot is where we were two years ago. Parking is only free to season ticket holders. You'll need that pass the team sent you with your tickets.

I'm thinking $40, but not really sure. And yes, if you head towards the old lot, you're supposed to pay and be allowed in.

We will be back in the area where the "1" is in this picture.

Amidst all the Shalrie trade hoopla the Injury Report went unnoticed.:

PROBABLE: Darrius Barnes (L adductor strain),
QUESTIONABLE: Diego Fagundez (L ankle sprain), Kevin Alston (L hamstring soreness)
OUT: Alec Purdie (L ankle sprain), Bobby Shuttleworth (L knee sprain), AJ Soares (R hamstring strain)

Soares may be out this game (would be his first missed game this year) which leaves McCarthy partnering with either Barnes or Lechner - presumably Barnes if he's good to go since Heaps seems reluctant to use Flo. Alston will probably gut out his hamstring thing, but Flo and Guy are also options at RB.

Time to start playing Polak. I liked the trade as it was a look to the future. Time to see where Polak is at, the rest of this season should be focused on next season.

Moreno was non-injured last week also but left the team for "personal reasons." Decent odds on him playing zero minutes the remainder of the season.

He was on the bench up in Montreal and was the obvious choice, tactically, to bring on over BBrett but without even playing again, he managed to get back on the injury report. He's not fit and I agree that there's a pretty good chance that we've seen the last of him.

If that's true, why not cut him before the deadline and not have his salary guaranteed for the rest of the year?

It might have something to do with the loan agreement with his club.

See what being "right" got us?

Having a signed piece of paper with Moreno's name on it and all those "we're right, Once Caldas and Moreno are wrong" statements don't amount to jack squat when it's the PLAYER who has to come in, be motivated and happy to be here, and perform up to his abilities.

Anyone can sandbag for 6 months, collect a paycheck and call it a day.

The second Moreno said he really didn't want to leave Colombia, we should've ripped up the contract and moved on.

Last IR of the week - Barnes and Fagundez come off the list, looks like it'll be Barnes/McCarthy as the starting CB combo this week:

QUESTIONABLE: Kevin Alston (L hamstring soreness)
DOUBTFUL: Blair Gavin (L hamstring tightness), A.J. Soares (R hamstring strain)
OUT: Alec Purdie (L ankle sprain), Bobby Shuttleworth (L knee sprain)
