Also, Chivas picked up our old friend, Kevin Harmes. Maybe Precki is just losing it.

Woo hoo! Back on page 1.

Cadaver, you must be kidding. Why wouldn't Preki love KRed, Kevin Harm-s. Isn't Atiba "hospital" Harris on NT duty? Gotta have someone share the red card load with Jesse "the bodycast" Marsch-a Marsch-a Marsch-a.

Theoretically, shouldn't we have Donovan and Buddle up top this game? About time we had our first-choice strikers in the lineup.

Eskandarian and Gordon off the bench.....that's actually not bad up front.

Too bad we've still got the poo-poo platter of choices in the central midfield.

I don't know if you want to play Dema or not--he's certainly aggressive enough for a Chivas match, but on the other hand, he might be a red card waiting to happen even more than usual. I say play him.

Actually, I'd rather keep Esky with Buddle and put Donovan in place of Kirovski. I don't even care how they line-up. I just think that:

    Buddle+Donvan+Eskandarian > Buddle+Donovan+Kirovski.

Good point. There've been times that I've thought Kirovski < Anything With Two Legs but > Anything With Only One Leg. Not that he's played that badly over the last stretch. But yeah, find a way to get your best players on the field. Usually a good strategy. I think if that happens, Donovan definitely slides back into the center into a supporting mid role. The only downside with that is that it gives him less space to make runs, and also puts on lot of pressure on the holding mid since he'll be up in the attack most of the time.

i think Dema is ok he was in the bench last game and BA said We are missing some other players. We are happy we didn’t have to use [Dema] Kovalenko tonight; we can save him for another week, which is a real plus. Obviously some other guys are missing. We’ll have some additions over the next couple of weeks, i also like the new addition part whos coming brichall ? that properly it

BTW that was off the blog

I hate Jovan Kirovski and want him off my team.

I can't understand how Bruce saw fit to give him 90 minutes last weekend.

I want him cut before the month is out.

Looking forward to being in the HDC on Saturday night.

I don't want to hate anyone for their poor play. I even try not to hate people for their wacked out political beliefs.

But Kirovski sucks. I don't know why I am such a loyal Arena fan, when he trots out players who are almost universally reviled for their play.

    Anyway,

Just curious how is Migs stock on these boards? Is he getting better?

And when is Birchall coming in?

And finally I just stumbled across this:

    http://www.atthefarpost.net/2009/07/colombian-player-kills-fan-who-blamed.html

After what happened to that one player years back when Columbia lost to the USA after a Columbian own goal (killed outside a tavern by his own countrymen) I guess players are now armed to protect themselves from fanatical fans.

Got my tickets through StubHub, just mere hours before i got an email from Galaxy that they have tickets reserved for us fans. Sitting in GA till the section gets taken over by Chivas (Mexican club) supporters who only show up to this derby and have no idea whos on the squad for Chivas USA.

As controversial as this is going to be... I thought Kirovski had a couple of good moments in the last game. The one that stands out was when he skinned the leftback and got in a good cross. Can't remember who got on the end of it, but they sadly headed it too close to Reis. Migz is looking better. His passing has been less sloppy the past couple of games. Magee has looked staedy recently too.

Dema has to be first choice in CM right now though.

I think Eskandarian should start. He's got to be up for this game and scoring so quickly and so clinically last week should have him on a high.

If Donovan Ricketts is still gone for Gold Cup duty and Landon Donovan and Dema Kovalenko are healthy, then I'd start the same lineup as last Saturday except I'd swap out Kirovski and Magee for Donovan and Kovalenko.

Then second half subs (if available) -- Klein, Magee and either Gordon or Jordan depending upon whether we have a lead (bring in Jordan to run his ass off) or are behind (bring in Gordon as a target up top).

It was a good move, but that was against Wells Thompson who is a so-so right midfielder that NE put in at left back out of desperation. Can you imagine what Nyassi or Mansally would have done?
