He is (or at least he is available for selection by JK). I was talking about the player availability for the Portland game this weekend. Donovan will be done with the USMNT service after tonight and therefore will theoretically be available for the Galaxy on Sunday.

With Magee and Jimenez out, as well as Keane and Buddle, unless Donovan gets beat up tonight, I expect he will play on Sunday. Although with a couple players out from injury and suspensions, how Arena manages this quick 3 games in 7 days will be important.

Also, with Buddle out and Keane gone, Cristman perhaps injured (and even if he wasn't - do we really hope to get much from him) and Donovan leg weary, would like to see McBean and Villareal get rewarded for their good reserve game performance with at least at spot in the 18-man roster for these 3 quick games...

It will be nice to see Saunders again. We really miss him.

Does that include not giving a shit about tottenham too? I mean losing old Arry he's good bloke aye. And I'm sure luca, bale, and van der vaart are probably gonna exit stage right to clubs with champions league football in the immediate future or higher wages? Your thoughts Phoenix? Just busting your chops there phoenix.

Perhaps it's a good sign? I mean, we need every possible odd, ironic, magic things to get a result right now. ;)

It's been a while since Galaxy played. Hopefully they figured everything out over the break.

I keep telling myself that the next time will be better. Then it gets worse. They're not even somewhat good. They're bad. Really bad.

But, let's hope they've decided to stop stinking up the field. So far, they've done a really good job of making shitty teams look good, in our own house, no less.

Well, now that my other favorite team, The LA Kings, has completed it's season I guess I can get back to my other true love, the LA Galaxy. I wonder how they've been doing while I've been pre ocupied? Probably still dominating the MLS. How could they not? They've returned like the entire team that kicked so much ass last year and brought back club legend Edson Buddle and central american stud Sarvas. I anticipate domination and CCL glory.

Let's just fire up the old standings, I 'll start at the top where I will no doubt see my team.

    hmmm....let's see here....

#1 RSL -ok, not too surprising
    #2 SJ #3 DC, #4 NY, #5 KC -The #$#%? What?
#6 Seattle -ok, not too surprising
#7 Vancouver -hmmm, can't be too much further till LA
#8 colorado, #9 Columbus, #10 Chicago, #11 NE -This is the all MLS bore you to death teams...how can we be lower than these guys? There must be some mistake
#12 Houston , #13 Chivas (Are F'n kidding me, the goats are higher then us? Next you'll tell me we actually lost a superclassico match to them)
#14 Portand, #15 Dallas, #16 Montreal (Who the hell are they?)
    #17 - LA Galaxy.

    #17????

    This is a mistake right?

Well maybe they just sacrificed early MLS play to win the CCL. Let's just look up those results shall we? hmmmmmmmm. We didn't make it to the final. Who did we lose to in the Semis? hmmmmmmmm, didn't make it to the semis. The #$#$? We lost to TORONTO!?!?!? What are they good finally? What's their MLS record this year?
    1-0-9 ?

    Just what's going on here?

    B R U T A L

I'm just going to look up some recent quotes from Bruce Arena to see what's been happening.

Bruce " I know what the problem is but I'm not going to tell you, but I know what it is...."

That's like the greatest sports quote ever from a losing team's manager.

Oh well. Season starts now. Let's go Galaxy!!!!

Don't forget the loss to the previously winless NASL team in the US Open Cup.
It has been painful, for sure.

LD's back in training - yay!

But best part of this video: "It's good to see Omar's back."

    Omar's back? Yay!

EDIT: And doesn't Landon seem like the happiest he's been in MONTHS?

I don’t think he’s back as in training, just out of the rehab room.

Thinking of taking my sons to this game for father's day. My youngest (age 5) has never been to a game and I want to avoid having the sun in his eyes. What sections do I need to focus on to make sure that doesn't happen in a 4 pm game?

He probably is ecstatic that Moyes is the frontrunner for the Tottenham job and the possibilty of going to London rather than Liverpool!

"I need to be a better leader & I think if I do that these guys will follow."

This is a quote from Landon on the LAGalaxy twitter feed. Here's hoping he backs it up.

Let's go Landon and let's go Galaxy!

He seems a bit reinvirgorated doesn't he? US time away helped.

Having Phil Neville around this weekend won't hurt either.

EDIT: Though that instagram picture associated with the quote is a bit funny. He looks like he's barely tolerating whoever is asking him a question.

If having Phil Neville helps us avoid another embarrassing loss, I say make him the damn coach.
