Actually sinner, you're right. Real Madrid is not a dream team. They're more like their next opponents worse nightmare. BTW, I don't think RM management is too worried about Ronaldo's health, since they got a money back gaurantee.

I guess you meant that RM WON'T pay if Ronaldo gets injured! which leads me to think, maybe he's not getting paid right now? :D he has been injured since he arrived to los putos blancos!

OK, fine. They won't pay if he gets hurt. But from what I recall it is more then just his salary, it is also the fee due to AC Milan. I have a feeling the reason we haven't seen Ronaldo yet is because we don't need to. No reason to push him in to fast with Guti's current form. BTW, while the term "los putos blancos" might be catchy, it is not very accurate. Real Madrid Club de Futbol does not sell itsself to anyone, this club buys. ;)

Yeah, if anyone saw the match vs. Genk, they hardly looked like they needed any help from the likes of Ronaldo (or Zidane or Makelele). I

Just a brief point on Manchester United assists:

Career Assists per game (I don't have per minute)

    Beckham .574
    Giggs .439
    Keane .245

We already have the player that should have been Euorpean Footballer of the Year, Raul. As well as Two multi-time World Player of the Year award winners and the the current holder as well. I also dont think we need to start counting team awards too do we because God knows there enough of tehm to go around but maybe one day Macca will let Owen touch one of the CL winners medals as a frendily gesture .

There is no need for any more stikers we have enough in-from ones as is we dont need one that couldnt hit th braod side of a barn and fluffs any pk comminng his way.

Ronaldo played in something like 20 matches in the past 3 years for a club and there was that one tournment this summer where he scored more goals than anyone competing in it by 3 and more than anyone has scored since Muller as well as the winning strikes in the semi- final and final match

We wouldnt be offended we bought him with the stipulation taht in the case of injury we would owe nothing on him and there for we could replace him

We have two of the four best players from that nationl side right now as well as having the one let go by Barca inquire though Roberto Carlos about comming to Madrid. I would like to see Ronaldinho here though that would be nice.

Its easy to find cash when you are the most sucessful club team in the world today and the best of all time.

Hang YOUR head in shame and while you are down there open wide because I have something for you to suck on.

People respond to threads when they find them.

    What's so shocking about that?

FWIW, this whole issue was a non-starter from the beginning. Some journalist must have dug up quotes from several months back to create some controversy where none exists.

Real Madrid doesn't need nor want Owen.

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe Owen Hargreaves was the first English National Team player to play outside the Premier League. It may be he was the only one to start his career outside England, but I don't beleive so.

Steve McManaman. And there were some players who played in the old first division that moved to Europe and still played for England. Kevin Keegan for one.

Gazza obviously moved to Lazio, but I think that was before the premier league.

If you're talking pre Premierleague, English players have been going abroad for nearly 100 years.

My great great uncle Vivian Woodward the England Captain even played abroad for a while in the 20's, he was one of the best players in the world.
