Barcelolna Serious note: that is a penalty but the issue is just like with most penalty decisions, is that 99% of the time referees have two different rules, in penalty box and out of the penalty box. Of course in the rule book this is completely incorrect, but when the ref calls it that way 99% of the time, players get used to it. Same thing with keepers coming off their line on PKs. Never called, but always happens.
I mean really, if you want a piece of evidence that for the argument that the Champion's league is incredibly boring, this round might been one of the most damning pieces. Barcelona v Real Madrid final Only Real v Bayern should be interesting.
You guys remember back in 09 when Chelsea hacked and butchered their way through Barcelona, only to lose in the dying minutes at Stamford Bridge? I'm not saying that it will be an exciting tie at all, but I do believe that Barca might have trouble breaking Chelsea down.
Chelsea's got no chance here. If they make it scary for Barca the refs will come in and bail the Catalans out.
BTW Barca foul the hell out of you if you are about to counter. Messi second most fouls on Barca in the Champions League (after Alves). Courtesy of Michael Cox on this point, they break up any chance of countering by fouling.
Ha probably Sergio, though what pisses me off most is when Valdes sprints out of his goal to get in the refs face
This is actually a tactic perfected by the great Hungary team of the early 50's. In the '54 WC they infuriated the Brazilians by committing those little ticky tack fouls every time Brazil had a good attack going.
Yeah that is stupid. But I guess it must work. Bayern can win, they are good. Anyone can win at this point, no one is invincible.
Bayern like Man Utd. has that special quality where they can never be counted out. You have to kill them, chop their head off, and have sex with their dead corpse to make sure they're out of it.
