Re: Other teams thread..... Whenever Anji finally drop the charade and start calling themselves Anji Moskva, I'd say they are closing in on rivaling Paris as a destination.
Re: Other teams thread..... Nah, I think they have the potential to really turn into a force like Manchester City. PSG are already atop the Ligue 1 standings, which is nothing to sneeze at, and if you add a world-class manager and a few more top transfers like Pastore, I think they will be CL KO stage regulars. Remember, unlike Dagestan, Paris is an incredibly desirable city for top-class players to live in as long as the club is thriving.
Re: Other teams thread..... I'm talking about the sudden cash injection. Your second comment is exactly what I mean, Anji only desirable. But of course they have a far richer history, so it's not the most accurate of comparisons in that sense.
Re: Other teams thread..... WTF, Blackburn Rovers went into Old Trafford and took 3 points from United?! Wow.
Re: Other teams thread..... Damn, I guess these Premier League giants celebrated New Years a little too early last night. Fergie must be so pissed lol.
Re: Other teams thread..... And I guess AVB is finding out pretty quickly that the Premier League is an entirely different animal from Liga Portuguesa. I'd bet if you'd told him before the season that by the New Year Chelsea would be out of the title race and in a dog fight for 4th, he would have passed on the job and stayed at Porto for sure.
Re: Other teams thread..... This is definitely a down year for United, though. Out of the CL in what should have been a super easy group, and struggling in the Premier League. Fergie looks frustrated in the dugout.
Re: Other teams thread..... Injuries to their key players, Vidic, Ferdinand, Fletcher (sort of). Carrick disappearing. They are relying way to much on young inexperienced players like Jones, Smalling, Welbeck etc At least from what little I've seen.
Re: Other teams thread..... Man City is the key here. Had they stuck to being the Man City of old United would have yet another title this season.
I went to the Real v. Malaga match last week. He was such an embarrassing bozo on the field. Real were down 2-0 at half. Mourinho made 3 subs at half, once Kaka came off for Ozil the game changed. He really does look awful stumbling over the ball, his touches look terrible. He used to have this deceptive quickness, now he just runs exactly like his body looks. I remember in '06-'08 Man Utd would go the entire season without any significant injuries while Chelsea would drop like flies. Glad to see them in this predicament. Rooney gained some weight btw, he was already big, now its caught up to him. Amazing how through the years players body's naturally get bigger, and just ounces or a 1/2 lb. can change a players confidence and game.
Re: Other teams thread..... This is true. United are on the same relative points pace as last season I believe. The difference is City are much better. However I also think there has been a collective drop in quality for the top English teams in the past few years. Arsenal are nowhere near where they used to be, same with Chelsea, Tottenham have improved, and United have also regressed from their Cronaldo years.
Re: Other teams thread..... Still good to see Spurs doing so well, hopefully they can convince Modric to stay and keep Bale.
I also realized one of my life dreams, out voicing Chelsea's sorry excuse for fans in the away section at the Bridge lol Fulham owned them all day, what an embarrassing bunch they are really. 'Shhh...why's it always quite in the Bridge? why's it always quite in the Bridge??? WHY'S IT ALWAYS QUITE IN THE BRIDGE!!!!! hahahahhaha so awesome, we went ape shit when Dempsey scored. There's only one team in Fulhaaaam, there's only one team in Fulham!!!
Rooney scores and Kompany sent off moments later. Harsh imo. English refs like always want the spotlight for themselves though.
Harsh but the right call in the heat of the moment without replays. You don't do those kind of tackles. Rooney's header was amazing, his 360 spin and landing was epic to see the ball go in lol. 2nd half was awesome, too bad Jones didn't get the hand ball called on him. Lol at Scholes playing for Man Utd, that's pathetic.
